你害怕殭屍嗎？你對中西方的殭屍又了解多少呢？

今天就讓我們來聊聊關於「殭屍」的話題！

殭屍真的太有趣了，不是嗎？不管你喜不喜歡，它們確實是激動人心的電影和電視劇的絕佳題材！但生活中關於「殭屍英語」的教學材料並不多，所以，我想創造出一些有趣好玩的東西，重心就放在殭屍這一話題上。這也是你能讀到這篇文章的原因。

Aren’t zombies so much fun?  Love them or hate them, they sure do make for some exciting movies and TV shows!  There’s not a lot of great English teaching material out there that talks about zombies, so I wanted to make something fun and interesting that focuses on zombies, and that’s why you’re reading this article.

如果你喜歡殭屍片，那麼你可能已經看過很多非常棒的殭屍題材的電視劇和電影。《行屍走肉》就是我最喜歡的殭屍劇之一。另一部讓人記憶猶新的則是《死亡片場》。

If you’re into zombies, then you probably already know some of the greatest zombie TV shows and movies out there already.  One of my favorite shows is The Walking Dead.  Another memorable one was Dead Set.  

剛來中國的時候，有一件事情讓我很驚訝，我發現我們對「殭屍」的定義是不盡相同的。在中國歷史上，殭屍動作很慢，只會朝同一個方向跳（或者說更像「蹦」），並且還會雙手伸向前方。可能只是我個人感覺，那樣聽起來一點都不恐怖啊！

One thing I was shocked to discover when coming to China is that we have different beliefs of what a 「zombie」 actually is.  In Chinese history, zombies are slow, jump (or more like 「hop」) in one direction, and stick out their arms straight in front of them. Maybe it’s just me, but I didn’t think that looked very scary!

西方的殭屍形態各異，而且都很有個性。有些像部落一樣，成群結隊，有些比以狗狗比賽還要快的速度追著你跑，聰明的殭屍還能學會如何去開門和使用槍，而且一些警察殭屍還會穿上全副盔甲和防暴頭盔（也就意味著你不能爆他們的頭！）

Western zombies seem to come in all sorts of sizes and personalities.  We have the kind that group together in hordes, the kind that will run and chase after you faster than a race dog, the smart zombies who figure out how to open doors or use a gun, and even police zombies that wear full body armor and a SWAT helmet (which means you can’t kill them by shooting them in the head!).

話又說回來，怎樣才能殺死一個中國殭屍？我完全不知道，不過我聽說是以火燒的形式。但是，現在你應該知道如何殺死一個西方殭屍了吧？當然是選擇爆頭啦！或者是另找法子把他們的腦袋砸掉。但一定要確保把他們腦袋砸壞，否則他們還是能活下來。

Speaking of which, how do you kill a Chinese zombie?  I have no idea, but I heard it was burn them.  But you must know by now how to kill western ones, right?  Shoot them in the head of course!  Or find a different way to destroy their brain.  You definitely have to destroy the brain, or they will keep surviving.

電視劇和電影裡，變成殭屍是非常簡單的。也就是一滴血的事情，對嗎？當然了，如果我們被殭屍咬了，也會變成殭屍。甚至只要他們的血進入我們的口腔或者眼睛，我們也會變成殭屍。我還看過一些殭屍片，只要這麼輕輕的撓一下，你就死定了。

The shows and movies also make it look so easy to be turned into a zombie.  It’s just about blood, right?  Sure, if a zombie bites us, we will turn (into a zombie).  But even if some of their blood gets in our mouth or eye, I』ve seen people turn (in movies).  In other movies, just a scratch will seal your fate!  

我覺得還是在讓一些人做噩夢之前，停止殭屍這個話題吧。要記住，如果殭屍末日真的到來，儘可能多存點食物和子彈。儘量避開那些可疑或者死了的人。千萬不要跑回去救那個已經被殭屍包圍的人。不要在野外睡著。並且不要站在窗戶前。在電影中，不遵照這些規則的人，往往會遭到厄運。

I think I’m going to stop talking about zombies before I give someone nightmares.  Just remember, if a zombie apocalypse ever does happen, be sure to store as much food and ammo as possible.  Avoid anyone who looks suspicious or dead.  Don’t go back to save the guy who just got surrounded by zombies.  Don't fall asleep outside.  And don’t stand in front of windows.  Bad thing’s always happen to the person in the movie who doesn’t obey those rules.
