當我們跟客人說，「我們公司人才濟濟」，或者「我們很多年輕員工都很有才華」，往往會用到talent這個詞，表示「人才」。但這個詞很少人能用對，往往會錯誤地加上複數s，來表示「很多人才」。其實不然，talent 在英文裡，居然是不可數名詞！
很多朋友一定有疑問，這是人啊，又不是頭髮之類數不清楚的東西，憑什麼是不可數名詞呢？這個問題我沒法回答，查詢了一些資料，也說不出個所以然來。只能說，固定搭配吧。
例如：「我們公司人才濟濟」，可以這樣翻譯：
There is a lot of talent in our company.
= There are a lot of talented guys in our company.
發現區別了嗎？如果是不可數名詞，there be句型的be，用的是單數is；如果talent加ed變成形容詞了，talented guys是可數名詞，那there be句型裡的be，就是複數are了。
