危險物品（HazardousMaterials）
說明：
Chemicalsarefoundeverywhere.Theypurifydrinkingwater,increasecropproduction,andsimplifyhouseholdchores.Butchemicalsalsocanbehazardoustohumansortheenvironmentifusedorreleasedimproperly.Hazardscanoccurduringproduction,storage,transportation,use,ordisposal.Youandyourcommunityareatriskifachemicalisusedunsafelyorreleasedinharmfulamountsintotheenvironmentwhereyoulive,
work,orplay.
(化學物品可以在任何地方出現，這些物品可以淨化水質、增加農作物生產、簡化家事等。但是化學物品如果使用或釋放不當，也可能對人體或環境造成危害。危害可能在製造、儲存、運送、使用或丟棄的過程中發生。假如化學物品未被安全使用或釋放危險的量到你居住、工作或遊憩的環境裡時，你和你的小區都可能有危險。)

(化學物品的製造商是危險物品的來源之一，但是還有許多其它來源，像是服務站、醫院及危險物品廢棄處理場所。)
Varyingquantitiesofhazardousmaterialsaremanufactured,used,orstoredatanestimated4.5millionfacilitiesintheUnitedStates--frommajorindustrialplantstolocaldrycleaningestablishmentsorgardeningsupplystores.
(美國目前大約有4百50萬設施製造、使用及儲存不同數量的危險物品，從主要的工廠到地方的乾洗店或園藝補給店。)
Hazardousmaterialscomeintheformofexplosives,flammableandcombustible
substances,poisons,andradioactivematerials.Thesesubstancesaremostoftenreleasedasaresultoftransportationaccidentsorbecauseofchemicalaccidentsinplants.
(危險物品可以以爆炸物、易燃與可燃性物質、毒藥及放射性物質等形式呈現。這些物質最常因為運輸事故意外或工廠化學物品意外而外洩。)

（收聽當地的收音機或收看電視以獲得最新的信息及指示。小心地遵循指示。你應該遠離這些區域，以減少受汙染的風險。記得有些有毒的化學物品是沒有臭味的。）
