About the Instructor:Shenyang Gou,Ph.D,is Frank J Bruno Distinguished Professor of Washington University in StLouis. He is an expert on the application of advanced statistical models to thesolution of social welfare problems. Guo is the author (with Mark Fraser) of Propensity Score Analysis: StatisticalMethods and Applications, Second Edition(2014), a comprehensive guide tothe many ways that propensity scores can be used to improve causal inference .Other books include Survival Analysis (2010)and Structural Equation Modeling (2011)(with Natasha Bowen). He has published more than 70 journal articles and bookchapters. He is on the editorial boards of SocialReview, Journal of the Society for Social work and Research, and Children and Youth Services Review. Heteaches graduate courses on event history analysis, hierarchical linear modeling, structural equation modeling, and program evaluation. He has received awardsfor his teaching, including 2010 Distinguished Teaching Award forPost-Baccalaureate Instruction, UNC at Chapel Hill.
