When skynet became conscious of its independence, it began a bloody slaughter of the human beings who created it. In the years that followed, John connor (Jason Clarke) led his comrade-in-arms into a protracted battle with skynet's droid army. After a crucial battle, skynet sends the terminator to Los Angeles in 1984 in an attempt to kill John's mother, Sarah (Emilia Clarke).
