It's crazy to me that people forget when Casey left DeMar on the bench for almost the entire 4th quarter in a must win game vs Indy in the 2016 playoffs for this exact same reason.

Casey has a lot of flaws as a coach but "riding the guys who got you there" was never one of them.

Edit: Game 3 vs the Cavs in 2018 another great example of Casey riding a bench lineup that made a comeback in a game with considerably higher stakes. This move is exactly the type of thing Casey would do in this situation.

It seems obvious but it's so difficult to grow and maintain that culture.
