11月13日晚，
法國巴黎發生多起爆炸、槍擊事件，
已致上百人死傷。
襲擊事件發生後，法國總統奧朗德召開緊急會議並發表電視講話，宣布法國進入「緊急狀態」（a state of emergency），並關閉了法國所有邊境口岸（French borders）。奧朗德稱此次襲擊為「規模空前的恐怖襲擊（Terrorist attacks of unprecedented proportions）」。
他說：
We must ensure that no one enters to commit any crimes and that those who have committed the crimes that we have unfortunately seen can also be arrested if they should leave the territory.
我們必須確保沒有人能進入法國從事任何罪行，
而且我們必須確保犯下罪行的人在離開法國之前落網。
In these difficult moments,we must show compassion and solidarity.But we must also show unity and calm.
在這種艱難時刻，我們要心懷悲憫，休戚與共。
但我們更要團結一致，保持冷靜。

但也激發出來自世界各地的愛。

Facebook啟用了巴黎恐襲「安全檢查」（safety check）的報平安功能，幫助網友確認在巴黎的朋友是否平安。
巴黎當地的一位記者Sylvain Lapoix在Twitter上發起了一場PorteOuverte（開門）運動，呼籲人們對滯留在街頭、驚魂未定的陌生人打開家門。
很快就有人響應這一運動，他們列出自己的地址，表示願意收留陌生人。

If you are in the middle of an active shooter event,
your survival may depend on whether you have a plan.
如果你發現自己置身槍擊案現場，
你的計劃決定你是否可以活下來。
The plan doesn't have to be complicated.
There are three things you could do:
Run.Hide Fight.
計劃不用很複雜，你可以做三件事來應對：
逃離、躲藏、反擊。
RUN.
When an active shooter is in your vicinity。
逃離。
當槍擊案在你周圍發生時。
If there is an escape path,attempt to evacuate.如果有逃生路徑，努力逃離現場。
Evacuate whether others agree to or not.無論別人同意與否，你要逃走。
Leave your belongings behind.別管你的財物了。
Help others escape if possible.如果可能，幫助別人逃離現場。
Prevent others from entering the area.阻止人們進入案發區。
Call the police when you are safe.確保安全之後打電話報警。
HIDE.
If an evacuation is not possible,find a place to hide.
躲藏。
如果沒辦法逃離，找個地方藏起來。
Lock and blockade the door.鎖上門並用東西擋住。
將手機調至靜音。
Hide behind large objects.藏在尺寸較大的物體後面。
保持安靜。
Your hiding place should:
Be out of the shooter’s view.
Provide protection of shots are fired in your direction.
Not trap or restrict your options for movement.
你的藏身處應該滿足以下幾點條件：
在槍殺者視線範圍之外，
阻擋射擊而來的子彈，
不限制你的行動。
FIGHT.
As a last resort,and only if your life is in danger.
反擊。
這是最後一招，只有當你命懸一線時使用。
Attempt to incapacitate the shooter.反擊槍殺者使之不能開槍。
Act with physical aggression.擊打對方身體。
留意身邊可用作武器的東西。
我們反對恐怖主義，
