南非旅遊局與南非駐華大使館、北京三裡屯通盈中心洲際酒店聯手舉辦「南非美食月」活動,於9月1日-30日期間在酒店所有餐廳及酒吧誠獻純正南非風味美食
Colourful, multi-cultural culinary promotion at all InterContinental Beijing Sanlitun’s restaurants and bars from 1-30 September 2017
南非旅遊局聯手南非駐華大使館及北京三裡屯通盈中心洲際酒店,今日在北京三裡屯通盈中心洲際酒店隆重啟動了「南非美食月」活動。京城食客可於9月1日至30日期間蒞臨酒店的頂級牛扒房——恰餐廳及酒廊、熱點西班牙、熱點吧、盈料理、盈中餐和大堂酒廊,盡享原汁原味且最具代表性的南非美食。
A 『South African Gourmet Month』 launched today by the South African Embassy, South African Tourism and the InterContinental Hotel in Beijing Sanlitun introduces one of the world’s most colourful and diverse cuisines to Beijing from 1-30 September 2017. The promotion features iconic, authentic South African specialties and delicacies in all of the hotel’s food and beverage outlets including their premium steakhouse the Char Dining Room & Lounge, Ying Chinese, Ying Japanese, Top Tapas, Top Bar and The Lobby Lounge.
活動期間的每周二至周日晚8:30至午夜,來自南非的歌手艾麗西亞•科梅爾(Alicia Comer) 和及其在「Rush Duo」樂隊的伴奏蒂克 (Tico) 還會在恰餐廳及酒廊登臺獻藝。兩位才華橫溢的表演嘉賓將為現場賓客帶來炙手可熱的南非歌曲,呈現更加身臨其境的彩虹之國體驗,讓他們在享用南非美食的同時,度過充滿南非風情的曼妙夜晚。
For an entertaining, immersive experience of South Africa known as the 『Rainbow Nation』, popular South African hit songs are also being performed from Tuesday to Sunday in Char from 8.30pm-midnight by a South African singer Alicia Comer and her 『Rush Duo』 accompanist Tico, both are accomplished performers, and will delight diners with an evening of great enjoyment.
此次南非美食探索活動的特色美食包括豐富多樣的南非海鮮、沙拉、燒烤、燉菜、雞尾酒、各種飲品和甜品,這些美味飽含了南非歷史悠久的美食傳統,融匯了古代沙漠遊牧民、非洲部落、殖民者,以及歐洲、亞洲移民者的飲食文化。
The culinary journey features a broad cross-section of favourite South African seafood, salads, barbecue, stews, cocktails, drinks and desserts from a rich heritage that embraces diets from ancient desert nomads and African tribes to waves of colonists and immigrants from Europe to Asia.
恰餐廳及酒廊將為客人呈現傳統的南非美食菜單,以鮮蝦柑橘沙拉、馬來醃製魚和備受歡迎的恰卡拉卡(Chakalaka) 等開胃前菜為美食體驗拉開序幕,其中的恰卡拉卡由洋蔥、豌豆、紅甜椒、黃甜椒、青辣椒、椰漿、混合香料、焗豆和胡蘿蔔等多種食材熬煮而成。湯類菜品則包括南非西海岸青口湯、菌菇湯、南瓜濃湯等。
Char presents a traditional menu, starting with appetisers such as a shrimp & citrus salad, Cape Malay pickled fish and the country’s ubiquitous 『chakalaka』, a multi-ethnical smorgasborg of onion, garlic, tomatoes, peas, red & yellow bell peppers, green chilli, masala, mixed spices, baked beans and carrots. Soup dishes range from a West Coast mussel and mushroom to homely butternut squash.
主菜以極具代表性的南非傳統燒烤——南非肉串(Sosatie) 為亮點,同時搭配鹿肉串 (Venison) 和南非豬肉牛肉腸 (Boerewors) 等。地道的南非鐵鍋燉菜 (Potjie),菜品包括燴牛尾配玉米泥搭配恰卡拉卡、燉鹿肉配土豆球和恰卡拉卡和奶油燴青口提子飯。其他傳統風味的主菜還包括番茄燴牛肉配玉米泥、黃豆燜豬蹄配南瓜玉米泥、必點推薦—德班咖喱羊肉,搭配咖喱土豆、燉西紅柿等素食。
Main courses are headlined by the iconic South African 『braai』 barbecue of traditional 『sosatie』 kebab skewers with 『boerewors』 and 『wurst』 sausages, served with 『pap』 maize polenta, cole slaw and 『chakalaka』 to name a few. Authentic 『potjie』 pot stews feature a choice of iconic Oxtail Potjie with Pap and Chakalaka, as well as a Mussel Potjie and Chicken Curry Potjie, both with Yellow Raisin Rice. Traditional entrees extend to Venison Stew with Potato Dumplings, Pork Trotters and Beans with Pumpkin Pap, along with a Durban Mutton Curry a must try dish and vegetarian alternatives, Cauliflower and Potato Curry, and Tomato Bredie with Pap.
南非享有盛譽的甜點傳承了歐洲開拓者發明的「布丁」做法,豐富多樣的甜品選擇包括南瓜餅、牛奶撻、白蘭地布丁、愛瑪樂奶油布蕾、南非蛋糕、馬瓦(香烤杏仁)布丁配香草沙司、南非博士茶蛋糕,以及與香草、甜橙、生薑、肉桂等配料一同烘焙的傳統南非麻花 —Koeksisters。
South Arica’s famous desserts, inherited from the 『pudding』 tradition of European settlers, range from Pumpkin Fritters, Milk Tart, Brandy Pudding, Amarula Creme Brulee, South African Trifle and Malva (Apricot baked) Pudding with Vanilla Custard to Asian-spiced Rooibos Tea Cake and traditional Koeksisters, baked with vanilla, orange, ginger and cinnamon.
盈中餐和盈料理兩家餐廳主理的南非美食包括燉菜、咖喱菜品,燒烤美食,以及和恰餐廳及酒廊類似的開胃前菜和甜品。熱點西班牙、熱點酒吧和大堂酒廊呈現的南非美食包括迷你鹿肉派、牛肉球(Frikkadels)、南非雞肝 (Peri Peri)、咖喱牛肉餅 (Bobotie)、馬來醃製魚和多種備受歡迎的南非甜點。
The Ying Chinese and Ying Japanese restaurant is focusing on 『potjie』 pot stews and curries, rather than grilled BBQ fare, with a similar range of appetisers and desserts. The Top Tapas, The Top Bar and The Lobby Lounge present a scaled-down taste of the cuisine, with canapes such as mini-venison pies, 『frikkadels』 flavourful meat balls, bruschetta chicken livers 『peri peri』, South Africa’s national meatloaf 『bobotie』, Cape Malay pickled fish and a sample of popular desserts.
南非旅遊局亞太區總裁白文博 (Bradley Brouwer) 先生表示:「豐富多樣的文化為南非贏得了『彩虹之國』的美譽,也使南非擁有了琳琅滿目的美食。南非的很多日常食物都包含著祖輩們的飲食傳統,他們為南非美食贏得全球盛譽奠定了豐厚的基礎。」
「South African cuisine is as colourful and diverse as the numerous cultures that make up the 『Rainbow Nation』, and in many ways daily diets can be traced back to the indigenous foods of their ancestors, who have paved the way forward for the Rainbow Nation's culinary expo around the world」 said Bradley Brouwer, President Asia Pacific for South African Tourism.
南非歷史悠久的美食傳統可以追溯到古時的科伊人和閃族人時期。這兩個原始部落是納米布沙漠和喀拉哈裡沙漠的遊牧民族,靠可食用的根莖和植物、以及在海邊打撈牡蠣和貝類為生。來自北部的遷徙部落—班圖人引入了農耕文化,教授當地人種植玉米、高粱、小米,然後用這些農作物製作餅類食物。
This fascinating history of culinary traditions traces back to the ancient 『Khoi』 and 『San』 people of the Namib and Kalahari deserts, who lived on edible roots and plants, and harvested oysters and mussels from the seashore. Early migrating Bantu people introduced agriculture; cultivating maize, sorghum and millet, for baking pot bread.
南非人民結合荷蘭開拓者的飲食文化,創造出經典的南非烤肉和鐵鍋燉菜。英布戰爭期間,隨著南非歷史上著名的「大遷徙」,荷蘭人向內陸遷移,以耕種和獵捕野生動物為生。他們將野生動物的肉類醃製成肉乾,這種肉乾後來成為南非最受歡迎的美味 —「biltong」。
Dutch pioneers infused the tradition of cooking meat over open fires with 『braai』 barbecues and 『potjie』 cooking pots. When they migrated inland on the 『Great Trek』 during the Anglo-Boer War, living off the land and wild game meats, they preserved meat into dried strips called 『biltong』.

Colonists from Germany, France and later Britain added their European cooking styles – from 『wurst』 and 『boerewors』 sausages to the centuries old wine-making tradition of French Huguenots and the English pudding culture.

Domestic workers from Indonesia, Malaysia and Madagascar imported aromatic spices from the Far East; the Portuguese brought chilies from their colonies in Madeira, Angola and Mozambique, introducing hot 『peri-peri』 dishes; and curry and rice arrived with Indian traders.

「This culinary evolution, from traditional African food through waves of colonisation and immigration, results today in one of the most diversified and flavourful cuisines in the world that is a highlight of any journey to South Africa, nothing brings people together like good food」 added Mr. Brouwer.

To make the travel experience even more seamless from China, South Africa has established visa facilitation centres in nine Chinese cities: Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Chengdu, Xian, Shenyang, Wuhan, Jinan and Hangzhou. The recent launch of a new 『BOC Inspirational South Africa FIT Credit Card』 in partnership with Bank of China is another milestone in making the South Africa experience even more appealing and accessible.
