Some students often spend a lot of pocket money (零花錢). Here is what they say:
Luke, 11, says, 「If it is something I really want to have, I』ll just pay for it at once although (雖然) it is expensive.」
「I spend a lot on food every week. I really can’t wait to buy it before the food is on sale!」 says Ross, 13.
Cooper, 12, says, 「I buy things without a second thought, so I often find they are useless after I buy them.」
Jason, 15, says, 「I only buy something cheap and necessary.」
Are you one of them? If you are just like Luke, Ross or Cooper, you』d better change your consumption ideas (消費觀念).
If you can remember the following tips when you’re shopping, you』ll save a lot of money. First, be patient. Wait for a few days before you finally buy the things. Buy things when their prices come down. Second, be yourself. Make sure that you really like it, and you’re going to use it a lot. You don’t always have to own the same things or the same clothes as everybody else.
