Yesterday Once More （昨日重現）是卡朋特樂隊演唱的歌曲，始創於1973年。理察·卡朋特和約翰·貝迪斯為回應七十年代早期的懷舊風創作了這首歌曲。
卡彭特全名 卡倫·卡彭特(Karen Carpenter), 1950年出生於美國康乃狄克州。在其兄理察·卡彭特(Richard Carpente)組建的「卡彭特」樂隊（舊譯「木匠」樂隊）中任主唱。理察由於運用多聲軌重複錄音技術錄製並演唱披頭四(the Beatles)的歌曲Ticket to Ride而備受矚目，是位很有才華的樂人。他原本也擔任歌手，兼彈琴、製作及歌曲創作。但妹妹的歌聲甜美出眾，於是理察甘為配角，為妹妹寫歌、伴奏，兄妹感情極深。
這是一首追懷舊情的感傷之作。經歷過一系列失戀打擊、身處孤獨之中的歌手原本是收音機的忠實聽眾，常常跟隨電波中的一曲曲情歌吟唱。
後來，陷入愛河的她不在有閒暇去收聽音樂廣播了，與收音機漸漸疏遠。而今，為情所傷、心如死灰的她再度擰開收音機，熟悉的旋律重新響起，一聲聲、一曲曲仿佛正講述著自己的身世。
卡倫的歌往往流露一股哀怨和傷感，似乎她在演繹自己的身世。
卡倫令人惋嘆的早逝正是一場催人淚下的悲劇：由於Billboard雜誌的一位作者在評論中「諷刺」卡論體態過於豐滿，她便開始節食而日漸消瘦，為保持苗條還服用傾瀉劑。
但物極必反，過度節食使卡倫患上了「精神性厭食症」。1983年2月4日死在深愛她的父母懷中，死時年僅32歲。
他的哥哥理察悲切的寫下了這段文字：
February 4, 1983, on I lost my sister, a dear friend, and my professional partner. The world lost a beautiful spirit. Karen had not only a voice that was heaven-sent, but a personality that warmed the lives of everyone who had met and known her. She was with us only 32 years. Though my family and I will never get over losing her at such an early age, we can take com fort in the marvelous legacy she left us all.

唱者卡倫卡彭特被稱為美國的鄧麗君，當她死於神經性厭食症時，人們突然發現，在所有那些包裝精良，華美誘人的熱門金曲中，可能只有卡倫卡彭特的聲音值得被收藏，她把悠長的旋律唱得光芒耀眼，即使懷舊，都充滿了對生活的感恩，她的歌聲始終在呼喚人們熱愛的本能。
