Special Workshops

Special workshops are collections of papers prepared in advance at the instigation of a workshop chair. These are forums for discussion, rather than merely for the reading of papers. It is thus advisable that the chairs of special workshops should establish early deadlines for the submission of papers to be discussed, so that all participants may have an opportunity to familiarize themselves with each others papers before the workshop begins. The papers will be distributed by the workshop’s chair among those wishing to participate. At the workshop, each presenter will briefly introduce his or her paper, as a basis for discussion. The final decision on details of the meeting and on the acceptance of abstracts and papers belongs to the chair.

The special workshops must be proposed by the chair by May 15. The composition of the workshop and the abstracts of the papers accepted must be communicated to the Host Committee by the chair by May 30, to be included in the abstract book and in the final academic program. The papers will be published on line if sent by the chair for this purpose by July 1.

Working Groups

Working Groups are forums for presenting papers that are not associated with any of the Special Workshops. To ensure adequate discussion time, papers should be submitted in advance, to be put on the Congress website, so that other participants can read them before the meeting. This will permit individual presenters to summarise their papers at the session, and get considered discussion from their audience.

Abstracts and papers will be accepted on the basis of peer review of the Host Committee.

The acceptance of abstracts will be communicated to the author within 15 days after submission.

Abstracts accepted for ivr2017 Istanbul will be accepted in Lisbon if submitted by May 15, 2017.

The trip will continue to Cabo da Roca, the extreme west point of Euroasia, and return to Lisbon through Cascais and Estoril.

On Thursday 20 a Concert will be given at 9.00 pm at the Aula Magna by the Symphony Orchestra of the North.
