The third batch of raw materials for China's Kelefu vaccine has arrived in Brazil.
On the morning of February 10 in local time, a new batch of raw materials for China's Celebel vaccine arrived at Sao Paulo International Airport in Brazil from Beijing. Brazil will use the raw materials to produce the vaccine locally, which will be distributed by the Brazilian Ministry of Health to the states for public use.
This is the third shipment of raw materials to Brazil for the vaccine. The first two shipments were previously received by the state of Sao Paulo on December 3, 2020 and February 3, 2021, local time.
In Sao Paulo, Brazil's most populous state, all the new crown vaccines currently being used there are Kerefu vaccines developed by Chinese company Kexing Biotech. In addition to importing vaccines directly from China, the Boutantan Institute of Sao Paulo is also using raw materials made in China for bottling to promote localized production of vaccines.
