A year ago, during a conversation with a friend, I learned that Mondrané University has opened a Chinese language training class, and as long as you have excellent grades, you have the opportunity to apply for a scholarship to study in China. After learning this news, I immediately decided to sign up And began to learn Chinese.
One semester passed and I passed HSK Level 1, but because my Chinese proficiency is limited and I am not eligible to apply for a scholarship, I am very discouraged, and I do not plan to continue studying HSK Level 2 courses. But then I found that I missed my time in Chinese class very much, and the teachers and classmates were very friendly to me, so I decided to return to HSK2 to learn Chinese. This time I am not only applying for a scholarship, but also to have fun while studying Chinese.
Since I signed up after the course started, I think the HSK Level 2 course is a bit difficult for me. But with the help and support of teachers and classmates, I started to make progress. Every day at the end of the university course, I will be very excited to rush to the Chinese class. During the class, I will listen to the teacher’s lecture carefully. When the get out of class is over, I will learn what I have missed before. A good result was achieved in the next exam. I still remember that I felt very strenuous when learning tones, but under the teacher's careful guidance and funny demonstration, I quickly broke through the bottleneck and mastered the law of tones.
Now, I learn HSK3 through online courses at home. It is more challenging and more interesting than previous courses. However, online courses are not as easy to understand as face-to-face courses, so I have to put more effort into the learning process, doing exercises in textbooks and often talking with classmates and teachers to avoid forgetting the Chinese characters and words I have learned.
Before learning Chinese, I think Chinese people are all geniuses because they can write such a difficult language and remember so many Chinese characters. But now I realize that being able to learn Chinese is not just a matter of being smart, it also requires curiosity for the language. It can be said that learning Chinese has changed me. It has changed my way of thinking, attitudes towards different cultures, and perceptions of people. I have never realized that learning a language is so beautiful before.
I like learning this language because it is really fun. Although many people think it is difficult to learn, for me, Chinese really makes me intoxicated, and the more I learn, the more exciting it becomes. Now, learning Chinese has become one of my favorite things to do. In addition to the knowledge learned in class, I also improved my speaking and writing skills by watching some Chinese dramas and listening to some Chinese songs.
Learning Chinese has aroused my desire to learn about new things, allowing me to constantly change my way of thinking and look at problems from different angles; learning Chinese has made me meet new friends and see the differences between different countries and different cultures. Learning Chinese has helped me know and understand people from all over the world. Through Chinese, we can share stories and experiences of learning Chinese with each other.
I really enjoyed the time of learning Chinese. There were learning time in class, and happy time with teachers and classmates. I hope that one day I can realize my dream to study in China, not just to learn the language, but to appreciate and feel the country.
