據中新社報導，當地時間26日，美國疾控中心承認，正在努力為各州和地方實驗室提供新版本的新冠病毒檢測試劑盒，原先的某些試劑盒存在缺陷。
目前美國確診的57個病例，是僅對426人進行測試得出的，不包括乘坐撤僑航班上返美的公民。
面對疫情，美國疾病控制和預防中心（CDC）的官員發出警告稱，新冠肺炎疫情在美國蔓延已「不可避免」。
近日，美國國土安全部部長查德·沃爾夫出席參議院撥款委員會聽證會。
會上，共和黨參議員約翰·甘迺迪就美國新冠肺炎疫情向沃爾夫提問，沃爾夫屢屢出現含糊其辭，被問得有點懵。
他甚至認為新冠死亡率和流感差不多，在呼吸機、口罩和疫苗等問題上也頻頻回答不上來。
