據中國廣視索福瑞媒介研究的調查顯示，《人民的名義》，第一集收視率就達到了2.41%，成為了收視冠軍。
目前這部劇在豆瓣的評分是8.7分，其中有58.6%的人給了5星。
豆瓣的網友如是說：
"There are two aspects about In the Name of People to which we should pay attention. First, the cast includes a number of veteran and skilled actors, which - during a time when pop stars dominate TV and movie screens - is notable. Second, shooting an anti-corruption show featuring serious political themes under the current censorship system is like trying to dance wrapped in chains. Therefore it is much more difficult to create an excellent show than it is for other genres."
