Year-end time. That means company dinners, go-karting, KTV, and role-play teamwork in meeting rooms. If you’re looking to try something new, here’s one: put on your chef hat and assemble a kitchen team instead.  

CieCAS (Center of innovative and entrepreneurial Culinary Arts and Services) is a hospitality training center in Hongqiao that focuses on professional educational training for industry members and semi-professionals looking to further excel in their approach to hospitality.


Professional services at CieCAS also extend to individuals and companies in the form of yearly courses and team building activities. If you’re an aspiring chef or restaurant manager, or hope to one day own and operate a restaurant one day, CieCAS is where you can get a taste of what it’s like.

The team building activities are growing in popularity, especially in this season.



This is an interactive cooking experience at the five-star level.

The team building activities are led by culinary expert Francois, who is a Swiss-trained and certified chef, and can be customized to fit your needs.

If you want to bake the perfect lasagna or learn the fluid movement of the wok and serve your dish with artful plating, the professionals at CieCAS will guide you and your team through it.

You will learn basic food safety and hygiene and cooking techniques, understand the layout of professional cooking stations, how to work in a team (obviously), and how to cook and serve a delicious meal.

Activities can include multi-course Western meals, food and beverage training, Chinese food, fine dining, and more.

And if food isn't enough,

you can also sign up for cocktail classes.

All ends with the meal that you helped cook together.



The facility is equipped with a professional a la carte kitchen, a la carte restaurant, production kitchen, bar station, demo room, dining room, and multiple meeting rooms.

Meeting rooms can be used before or after team building for group discussions and other activities.

CieCAS can customize team building events for groups up to 50 people.

It costs roughly ¥420-780 per person, and additional food and beverages can also be provided upon request.

A team building session requires roughly 3-4 hours.

About CieCAS

The programs at CieCAS are based on a European dual education model in partnership with the Austrian Chamber of Commerce. It’s training for hospitality and food & beverage professionals who want to expand and better their skills on a personal level and at the corporate stage.

Professional courses, trade training, and master classes include practical and theory with specialized classes on restaurant entrepreneurship, modern culinary concepts, barista, wine, food products, and mixology. CieCAS also provides mini chef and family training to learn culinary basics on the weekend.
