Today Mom and Dad went on a trip,
今天爸爸媽媽出去旅行了，
and Grandam and Grandpa came to stay with us.
所以爺爺奶奶過來和我們作伴。
"Bye-bye, Mom and Dad!" I said.
「再見，爸爸媽媽！」我說。
"Don t worry. I will take care of everything."
「別擔心，一切就交給我吧。」
First, we had to do our chores.
首先，我們要做家務。
So, we vacuumed...
所以，我們吸了塵......
......we mopped
拖了地...
......and we dusted.
還撣了灰。
Then we did some painting.
接著我們要刷下漆。
I told Grandpa I was a very good painter,
我告訴爺爺我是個很棒的油漆工，
but the paint spilled a little.
只是油漆不小心灑了一點。
Then we had to do some shopping.
然後，我們去購物了。
At the store, I pushed the cart...
在商店裡，我負責推車...
...and showed Grandma just what we needed to buy.

When we got home,

I made a special lunch for everyone--

peanut butter and pickle sandwiches...

...with potato chips, marshmallows,

and chocolate syrup on top.

Grandma and Grandpa said it was the best lunch they ever had.

After lunch,
午餐過後，
Little Sister helped Grandpa water the garden
我和奶奶在洗碗
while Grandma and I did the dishes.
妹妹在花園幫著爺爺澆水。
"You have to use lots of soap
「奶奶，你需要很多的洗潔精，
if you want to get the dishes really clean, Grandma," I said.
如果想把碗洗得很乾淨的話。」我說。
Then we went to the movies.
之後，我們去電影院。
Grandma likes popcorn and Grandpa likes candy...
奶奶喜歡吃爆米花，爺爺喜歡糖果...
...so we had to get lots of both.
...所以我們兩樣都買了很多。
After that, we went bowling.
看完電影，我們去打保齡球了。
I helped Grandma roll the ball because it was too heavy.
我幫著奶奶把球推出去，因為保齡球太重了。
On the way home we were hungry,
一路上我們又餓了，
so we stopped at Critter Burger.
所以我們在毛人漢堡店停了下來。
I ordered a Super Burger and a Super Shake,
我點了一個巨無霸和一個超大杯奶昔，
but I dropped them.
但是我沒接住。
When we got home,
我們到家了，
it was time to get ready for bed.
也該是時候去睡覺了。
So we all put on our pajamas...
我們穿上睡衣...
...washed our faces
...洗了臉
...and brushed our teeth.
...刷了牙。
"Mom says to use lots of toothpaste," I said.
「媽媽說我們要用很多牙膏，」我說。
Then I told Grandma and Grandpa a scary story.
我給爺爺奶奶說了一個恐怖故事。
It was a little too scary for them,
這個故事對他們來說太恐怖了，
so we had to check for monsters in the closet and under the bed.
所以我們只能在柜子裡還有床底下幫他們檢查看看有沒有怪物。
Grandma and Grandpa were still a little scared,
爺爺奶奶還是有點害怕，
so Little Sister and I stayed with them all night long.
所以妹妹和我一晚上都在旁邊陪著他們。
Good night, Grandma!
奶奶晚安！
Good night, Grandpa!
爺爺晚安！
