Just my friend and me

I asked Mom if I could have a friend over, cause I just don’t want to play alone.

我問媽媽我能不能邀請一個朋友過來，因為我不想自己一個人玩。

There are so many things we can do——just my friend and me. 

我們可以做很多事——只有我和我的朋友。

First we climb the apple tree.

I could climb higher if I really wanted to. 

首先我們爬上了蘋果樹。

如果我想的話，我可以爬的更高。

Then we play in my tree house.

My friend says only babies use a ladder. 

Next we play hide-and-seek.

I hide so well that my friend won’t ever find me. 

然後我們在我的樹屋裡玩耍。

我朋友說只有嬰兒才使用梯子。

接著我們玩起了捉迷藏，

我躲藏的太好了，我的朋友肯定找不到我。

We like to play with my racing cars.

They don’t work very well in the water,though. 

We like to play basketball, too.

I could get the ball if I really tried. 

我們喜歡玩賽車，

儘管它們在水裡運行的並不好。

我們也喜歡打籃球，

如果我很努力就能搶到球。

Next we play with my new baseball and my Louisville Slugger bat. 

My friend likes to hit the ball, but he doesn’t like to chase it. 

接下來我們玩我的新棒球和我路易斯維爾的棒球球棒。

我的朋友喜歡擊球，但他不喜歡接球。

Then we have a jump rope contest.

My friend jumps a hundred times.

I could do that…

But sometimes I like to let my friend win. 

We swing on my swing set, too.

Next time we』ll swing on separate swings. 

然後我們進行了跳繩比賽。

我的朋友跳了一百下，

我也能...

但是有時我喜歡讓我朋友贏.

我們也蕩鞦韆，

不過下次我們要在不同的鞦韆上蕩鞦韆了。

We take turns playing daredevil on my new bike.

My friend tries to stand on the seat. 

我們輪流在我的新自行車玩驚險特技。

我的朋友試著站在座位上。

It’s only bent a little. I bet Dad can fix it when he gets home.

My mom takes care of our cuts and bruises.My friend cries a lot. I only cry a little. 

只是車軲轆摔得有點彎，我打賭爸爸到家後會修好它的。

我媽媽幫我們處理了傷口和擦傷，我的朋友哭了很久，我只哭了一小會兒。

After we finish playing, we pick up my toys and put them away. 

My friend says he』ll put away the comic books.

在我們玩耍後，我們把我的玩具找了出來，又把它們收了起來。

我的朋友說他會把漫畫書收起來的。

When my friend’s mom comes to pick him up,we say good-bye. 

當我朋友的媽媽來接他時，我們道了別。

We always have fun when it’s just my friend and me…

每當只有我和我朋友在一起的時候，我們總是很高興…
