英語中當需要表達比較時，就會用到形容詞和副詞的比較級。那麼怎麼表達呢？記住三點：
一、構成
一般情況下用形容詞或副詞的比較級+than表示
二、標誌詞
1.A or B
Which is longer,the red one or the yellow one? 哪個比較長？那個紅色的還是那個黃色的？
2.than
Daming's room is cleaner thanmine.
大明的房間比我的要乾淨。
3.of the two
Jane is clever of the two girls.
Jane是兩個女孩中比較聰明的那個。
4.the more，the more 越……越……（這裡的more是指所有的比較級形式）
The moreexercise you do, the healthier you will be. 你做的鍛鍊越多，你就會越健康。
5.more and more 越來越……（同詞比較級循環）
It is getting hotter and hotter in summer.
夏天天氣變得越來越熱。
6.than any other+範圍
She is more helpful than any other student in our class. 她比我們班任何別的同學都樂於助人。
三、形容詞和副詞比較級變化
單音節和少數雙音節單詞的規則變化
1.直接在詞尾--er
short--shorter small--smaller
2.以字母e結尾的形容詞--r
large--larger nice--nicer
3.重讀音節的詞，如末尾只有一個輔音字母，就雙寫尾字母--er
big--bigger hot--hotter wet--wetter
4.以輔音字母+y結尾的詞，先把y變成i,再--er
busy--busier easy--easier happy--happier
多音節單詞用more+形容詞或副詞
more beautiful more interesting
more carefully more quickly
不規則變化
good/well----better
bad/ill,badly----worse
many/much----more
little----less
far----farther/further
