大眾旅遊 mass tourism

當地時間7月4日，義大利非政府環保組織Nostra警告說，大量遊人正在慢慢侵蝕威尼斯瀉湖（the Venice lagoon）。為此Nostra建議大幅削減旅遊團的數量。

An Italian environmental group warned on Monday that mass tourism was slowly eroding the Venice lagoon, which it said was also threatened by major real estate development and an inadequate transport network.

一個義大利環保組織周一警告說，大眾旅遊正在慢慢侵蝕威尼斯瀉湖，房地產業的發展和交通網絡的不完善也對威尼斯瀉湖形成了威脅。

上文報導中的mass tourism就是「大眾旅遊」，指的是現代旅遊活動開始形成的以有組織的團體包價旅遊為代表的大眾型旅遊模式，並且形成廣大民眾中佔支配地位的旅遊形式。常見的大眾旅遊形式是package tour/group tour/organized tour（跟團旅遊）。

近日大陸開放了travel across the Taiwan Straits as individual tourists（赴臺個人遊），赴臺個人遊的遊客被稱為individual tourist/ free walker（自由行遊客）。
