1、full of hot air
這是一個俚語表達，在詞典中給的解釋是：Full of lies, exaggerations, or nonsense.指某人說話滿是謊言，說話很誇張，胡說八道的。

哦，你不能相信那傢伙說的話，他全是誇誇其談。

2、come rain or shine
英文釋義是：whatever happens or whatever the weather is like.即不管發生什麼事情。
come rain or shine無畏風雨，我們始終砥礪前行，沒有任何事情能阻攔。即「風雨無阻，不管發生什麼情況」。
Burrow runs two miles, rain or shine, everyday.
Burrow每天都會跑兩英裡，風雨無阻。

3、It's a scorcher
scorcher做名詞解釋時，意思通常是指：an extremely hot day.r但是日常使用中，其卻有三層意思，分別是：
（1）很有力的一記進球，例：a scorcher of a free kick
（2）很動人、很棒的一段描述或表演，例：the novel is a scorcher
（3）非常激烈的辯論，例：those two are having a row, a scorcher
It's a scorcher是指夏天非常炎熱。今天你所在的地方熱嗎？反正大白很熱~
4、Hot under the collar
collar：the part of a shirt, coat etc that fits around your neck, and is usually folded over,指衣領。
都知道在夏天一般很少有人願意穿帶領子的衣服，因為那樣會很熱，脖子會非常難受，所以人們會用「Hot under the collar」像被領子裹著非常熱那般難受，來形容某人非常生氣，氣急敗壞的那種。

5、A drop in the ocean
drop做動詞使用是，意思有「下降」，做名詞可指「一滴、微量、滴劑」等，想想一滴水對於大海來說幾乎沒有，所以A drop in the ocean是指：
A tiny amount, especially when compared to a much larger one.
杯水車薪的意思。
我們還可以用「a drop in the bucket」，也是指「杯水車薪，九牛一毛、滄海一粟」等。
The 20 dollars is a drop in the bucket.
