今天繪本的題目是：「Everyone Got Wet」 每個人都溼了
Look at the front cover,
the family and a very big barrel
是 Kipper 一家，和一個大桶，
旁邊還有一個水管，a hose
What will happen in today's story?
Let's open the book and turn to page 1
Dad looked at the water butt.
爸爸看著 水桶
The water butt was leaking.
水桶 正在流水。
Do you know what was water butt?

Mum looked at the hose.
The hose was leaking.
媽媽看著這個 軟管。軟管 在漏水。
hose 軟管，媽媽手上拿著的這個就是
leaking 就是 「漏水」，看到像小噴泉一樣水了嗎？
「Oh bother!」 said Mum.
「歐，麻煩來了！」媽媽說。
Oh bother，Oh no，Oh my
Dad mended the water butt.
He put a patch on it.
mend 就是 「修理」
patch 就是 「補丁」
爸爸 修理了 大水桶。
他放了一塊 補丁 在上面。
「What a tricky job!」 he said.
tricky 有兩個意思，一個就是 「狡猾的，詭計多端的」 意思
另一個是 「難辦的，難以對付」 的意思
「多麼 複雜/難辦 的工作啊！」他說。
What were the kids doing？
They were looking at the butt.
They were unhappy.
孩子們在做什麼呢？
他們都在看著爸爸，為他著急。
他們都不是很開心。
What was Mum doing？
Mum was holding the leaking hose.
媽媽在做什麼呢？
她正拿著那根漏水的軟管。
The water butt burst.
All the water came out.
burst 就是 「爆裂，爆炸」 的意思
比如說 a tyre burst 車胎爆了
水桶 爆裂 了。
所有的水 流了出來。
came out 就是 「流出來」 的意思
Opps，
Dad got wet.
爸爸溼透了。

Mend 修理/修補
patch 補丁
媽媽 修補了 軟管。
她放了一塊 補丁 在上面。
媽媽也說了：
「What a tricky job!」 she said.
「多麼 複雜/難辦 的任務啊！」她說。
Mum put the hose on the tap.
The top of the tap came off.
tap 就是水龍頭
媽媽把軟管安在 龍頭 上。
水龍頭的頂端 裂開了。
Mum got very wet.
這次是媽媽溼透了。
She was surprise.
everyone laughed.
媽媽大吃一驚，大家都笑了。

bricks 就是墊在下面的那個磚頭
爸爸拿了一個新的水桶。
把它放在磚頭上。
He got the hose.
He filled up the water butt.
fill up 就是 「裝滿」 的意思
他拿著膠皮管。把水桶裝滿。
What was Mum doing？
Mum was hanging clothes out
媽媽在做什麼呢？
她正在晾衣服呢。
之前在修理這個 butt 的時候，媽媽和爸爸的衣服都溼透了。
