There was three people in the testing room. 

A shy girl sat quite still, looking a little nervous, waiting to take a lie detector test. 

The second one was the staff who had dressed up as a pink butterfly, pink clothes, white wings, standing not far away from the midst of the texting desk to watch the whole progress for the test, in order to make the little girl less nervous, without a word.

The thrid one was a man- the questioner.

This talk was only between the girl and the questioner.

-What is your name?

-Chloe.

-Okay. Chloe, and how old are you?

- Five and a half.

-And what grade are you in?

-Kindergarten.

-Kindergarten. Do you like all the other kids at school?

-A few not.

-A few not. Who do you have a problem with?

-Uh, once when I was playing in the playground, this guy was being really mean to me , so I don't like that guy.

His name is Harry.

-Harry. Okay, Harry. Alright.

Anybody else?

-No.

-Nobody else. Do you, uh, secretly love Harry?

-No. (Just then, the lie detector sounded, indicating that she was telling a lie.)

-A little bit?

-Just a little bit. (Actually, she had to admit that. )

In English,' what is your name ' can be said as well as ' what's your name ' . The difference it will make in your conversations with others, formal and informal as you like, but that's not the point.

The answer is usually as 'my name is XXX', or it can be just 'XXX' .

分析：

這裡關注一下語序：

1.在上面的問句中，what非主語，your name 作主語，is 是聯繫動詞。 因此is必須放在主語前，即放在what和主語之間。從而構成生活中非常常用和有用的一個提問句甚至是一類提問句。

2.正因為在此問句中，what不是主語，所以從問句變成陳述句時，需要把is調整回正常語序即陳述語序放在分句主語之後：

Actually, sorry, I forgot what your name is.

Maybe you'd better tell him what your name is.

類似的：

How old are you? 

I really don't know how old he is.

這種基礎的語序，是非常重要的。

可以自問自答熟悉語序：

-Who am I? I am Jack.
