New York City has apparently tightened up the security immediately after the terrorist attack in Boston today with more police and undercover stationed on the streets in Manhattan.

People’s Daily Online USA reporters walked around the streets in Manhattan after the attack and saw that almost every 2-3 blocks away there were police cars stationed by the roads. According to NYPD, thousands of police force has been dispatched due to this incident.

A police named O』Brien in Times Square told People’s Daily Online USA reporters that his whole team was dispatched to here due to the Marathon attack to beef up security.

But New Yorkers and tourists on the streets did not seem to concern about staying in crowded public areas. Places like Times Square were still packed with people, albeit more police cars were parked on the side of the roads.
The 2 explosions took place at the Marathon event in Boston today, injuring dozens of people and killing at least three. One of the casualties was 8 years old.
