With or without the coronavirus, fear is something that can grip people and stop them其實無論有或者沒有新型冠狀病毒，人都會懼怕，且會因懼怕而停滯不前
Fear prevents people from loving, for they fear they will be hurt.
Fear stops people from trying new things for they fear they will fail.
Fear stops people from going new places for they fear they will become lost.
Fear stops people from meeting new friends, for they fear they will be rejected.
Fear stops people from learning new things, for they fear not understanding.
Fear stops people from trusting others, for they fear they will be deceived.
懼怕使人無法去愛，因為害怕會受到傷害。

Worst of all, fear stops people from developing relationships with people and with God. Fear can keep a person at a distance, afraid of pain, failure, rejection, deception.

How can we experience this kind of love that casts out all of the fears in our heart? Is it the love of a mother? The love of a spouse? The love of a friend? These kinds of love are comforting and encouraging, but only the truest love, the source of all love can remove fears from a person’s life. God is the source of all love, in fact, He is love. The amazing thing is that God loves us even before we love Him or even know Him. The only way we can love God or others, is because God loves us first.

When we experience God’s love, He becomes a shelter for us, a safe place. His love will not reject, hurt, fail or deceive us. God’s love is perfect and puts our heart at ease. We come to God as our shelter and we rest in his shade.

Being trapped and hurt by others (the fowler’s snare)
Sickness and disease (deadly pestilence and plague)
Fears of the unknown (terror by night)
Attacks from others (the arrow that flies by day)

Make God your shelter and dwelling place, don’t look for safety and security in the things of the world. Strong families, reliable jobs and safe homes are important and provide safety, but your number one shield will always be God.
