只用作及物動詞。若其後沒有賓語，應考慮使用be(get,become)acquainted之類的結構，如"我們就是這樣認識的"譯為：This is how we got(became) acquainted.
其意思不是"熟悉"，而是"使某人熟悉"應該用be acquainted with sb. 例如"我熟悉他"可譯為 I am acquainted with him.
