1. 某些名詞作可數名詞和不可數名詞時的意義變化

某些名詞在不同場合下可分別用作不可數名詞或可數名詞，分別表示不同的意義。例如:

The cottage is on fire.

村舍著火了。

結構分析：The cottage是主語，is on fire是系表型謂語（is是系動詞，on fire是介詞詞組作表語）。

 

The girl is learning how to make a fire.

姑娘在學如何生爐子。

結構分析：The girl是主語，is learning是謂語，how to make a fire是賓語。
