One hot day Fo-Pa, who was a very fat little man, called little Yellow Wang-lo and told him to put on his Sunday clothes, take the little boat and row to land and sell the ducks in the market; then he was to buy a pig and bring it back to be roasted for dinner.老王,一個又胖又矮的人,在一個炎熱的一天,他吩咐王小洛穿上最好的衣服,劃著小船去陸地上的集市,賣些鴨子,然後用賣鴨子的錢買一隻豬帶回來烤著吃.

Little Yellow Wang-lo's eyes shone with excitement at the idea of going on land, and his mouth wateredat the prospect of roast pork for dinner. So he hurried into his best coat, hat and shoes, and, jumping into the boat, rowed quickly to land.一聽要去陸地,王小洛的兩眼就開始激動地放光了,一聽要吃烤豬,王小洛的嘴巴就開始垂涎的流口水了. 他急匆匆的穿好衣服,帽子和鞋子,然後就跳上船迅速地劃著奔向了陸地.

He soon sold all his fat ducks in one corner of the market.很快,他就在集市的一角賣掉了那些又大又肥的鴨子.

So then he went to another corner where the pigs were sold, and after looking at several pigs— black pigs, white pigs, red pigs, and spotted pigs— he chose a little black pig that had white feet; he tied a string to one of its legs and started off for home.然後,他來到了集市上一個賣豬的角落,看了一下這裡的豬— 有黑的,白的,紅的以及帶斑點的— 他挑了一隻黑色的小豬,它有著白色的小腳. 他用一根繩子綁住了小豬的腿,然後開始往家的方向趕.

But the little pig had a will of his own, and would not go the way little Yellow Wang-lo wanted. So little Yellow Wang-lo got a stick and beat the pig, and the pig began to pull and pull at the string, and the more little Wang-lo beat him the more he squealedand the faster he ran right through the town, away from the river out into the country.但是這隻小豬並不聽話,不想跟著王小洛回家. 於是,王小洛撿了一根樹枝,想要抽打著它回家. 但是一打小豬,小豬就開始拉扯著繩子. 王小洛打得越多,小豬就叫的越厲害,然後它還跑的越來越快. 最後,小豬徑直的穿過了小鎮,遠離了河流,跑進了一個小村莊.

The poor little boy was not used to running, and he soon got very tired and hot; but on piggie ran, and at last little Yellow Wang-lo trippedover a stone, the string broke, and down he fell.王小洛並不習慣於奔跑,他很快就變得又累又熱. 但是小豬又在不停地跑,所以王小洛也得跟著一塊跑. 最後,王小洛被一塊石頭給絆倒了,並且,栓小豬的繩子還被扯斷了.

Getting up quickly, he saw the little pig knocking at a little gate, and he heard it say:王小洛跌倒後立馬站了起來,然後就看到那隻小豬在一個門口前敲門,還在說著:

"Let me in, mother; let me in.""讓我進去,媽媽,讓我進去."

And a voice said: "Who's there?"只聽另一個聲音在說: "誰在那裡啊?"

And the little pig answered: "It's little Wee-weecome home again."小豬答道: "是你的小 'Wee-Wee' 回家了啊."

But the mother said: "How am I to know it is little Wee-wee? I will open the gate a little crack, and you must show me if you have white feet."但是豬媽媽說: "我怎麼知道你是我的小 'Wee-Wee' 呢? 一會兒我把門打開一個小縫兒,請你把你的小腳伸過來讓我瞧瞧."
