【編者按】今天我們來講講be動詞，短短的篇幅是無法說盡be動詞的意義和作用的，我們主要理解其基本作用，並學習語法中的說法。
Is (in its various forms) and several other verbs may be used to frame sentences in which some word or words in the predicate describe or define the subject.
【譯】Is（以各種形式）和其他幾個動詞可以用來構造句子，其中謂語中的一個或多個單詞描述或定義主語。
【語法】in which ... 是which引導的定語從句，表示「在...裡面」，接近於where；例句：He give me a box in which to keep the toy. 他給了我一個裝著玩具的盒子。
【單詞】verbs 原型：verb 名詞複數形式 [vurb][vɜːb] n. 動詞
【單詞】frame 動詞原形 [freym][freɪm] v. 表達；制定；把 ... 框起來

【單詞】sentences 原型：sentence 名詞複數形式 [&39;sentəns] n. 句子
【單詞】predicate [ &39;predɪkət] n. [語]謂語；述語
【單詞】describe [dih-&39;skraɪb] vt. 描述；說成；形容
【單詞】define [dih-&39;faɪn] v. 規定；限定；定義；解釋

例句有：

Gold is a metal.
【譯】黃金是一種金屬。
【單詞】Gold 原型：gold 名詞 [gohld][ɡəʊld] n. 金幣；金黃色；金牌；金子
【單詞】metal 名詞 [&39;metl] n. 金屬；合金

【注】注意這兩條解釋的區別
