Let me send you home是錯的雖然send 的確是「送」的意思，但是這樣翻譯是不行的！send someone是出於一種有目的的安排，把某人送往某地，以期待別人為你做某事。和日常的送回家，是有區別的。例：Her parents sent her to a boarding school.她的父母把她送到了一所寄宿學校。Sunny sent Jack to buy subway.桑尼派傑克去買賽百味。地道的「我送你回家」應該這麼說！送某人回家accompany someone homewalk/drive someone home例：It's too late. Let me walk you home.很晚了，我送你回家吧。Did you let the boy walk you home?你讓那個男孩送你回家了嗎？
關於「send」的其他用法send in one's jacketsend in one's jacket是個固定短語，意思是「辭職」。例：I couldn't bear his bad temper, and I sent in my jacket.我無法忍受他的壞脾氣，所以我辭職了。send chills up (one's) spine毛骨悚然，背脊發冷例：His words sent a chill down her spine.他的話讓她脊背發涼。Can we get out of here? This creepy old house is sending chills up my spine!我們能不能走啊，這個老房子真的要把我嚇尿了。
send ahead for something提前做好準備例：We sent ahead for room reservations at the hotel.我們提前訂好了酒店房間。I will send ahead for a uber to meet us at the station.我會提前叫一輛uber在車站等我們。
