Elno had grey feathers,

Elno was shy.

All day long, he hid in a hole in a tree.

"Elno is just too shy," the birds said.

When all the birds were asleep,
當所有的鳥兒都進入夢鄉後，
Elno came out of his hole.
艾諾就會從他的樹洞裡出來。
He cleared up the mess and then went back into his hole.
他清理完垃圾，然後再躲回到他的窩裡。

The birds didn't see Elno and soon they forgot about him.
鳥兒們見不著艾諾。很快，大家都將艾諾遺忘了。
One day,
一天，
Elno flapped his wings and flew away.
艾諾扇扇翅膀，飛走了。
"No one wants me here.
「這兒沒有誰需要我，
I'll go and find a new home," he thought.
我要去找一個新的家。「他想。

Elno flew across the world looking for a new home.
艾諾飛過整個世界，去尋找新的家。
The desert was too hot.
沙漠太熱了。
The mountains were too high.
山峰太高了。
The city was too loud.
城市太嘈雜了。
The sea was too wet.
大海又太潮溼了。

But Elno liked the jungle.
不過，艾諾喜歡叢林。
The jungle birds were bright with colours.
叢林的鳥兒長著色彩絢麗的羽毛，
Rose red.
有玫瑰紅的，
Sunshine yellow.
金黃的，
Sky blue.
天藍的，
Jungle green.
還有叢林綠色的。

And when the jungle birds saw Elno,
當這些叢林鳥兒們看到艾諾的時候，
their eyes popped out of their heads!
他們吃驚的瞪圓了雙眼！
"You are just fabulous!" said the jungle birds.
「你太美了！」這些鳥兒讚美道。
"The spots on your feathers are as dark as chocolate.
「看！你羽毛上的圓點濃鬱得像巧克力。
Your beak is as black as night,
你的嘴巴黑得像夜暮，
and your legs are as pink as the setting sun."

The jungle birds thought Elno was the most
beautiful bird in the world!
叢林中的鳥兒們一致認為艾諾就是這個世界上最漂亮的鳥兒！
They made him sit on a rock so that they could
look at him all day.
他們讓他坐在一塊石頭上供他們整日觀賞讚美。
But Elno was a shy bird.
但是艾諾很害羞。
He didn't like being looked at.
他不習慣被觀摩品評。
One day,
一天
Elno flapped his wings and flew away.
艾諾扇扇翅膀，飛走了。
He went back to his hole in the tree.
他飛回他的樹洞。
The birds were pleased to see him.
家鄉的鳥兒們看到艾諾歸來，都很高興。
"Hey，Elno!" they said. "It's good to see you.
「你好，艾諾！」他們說，「真高興又見到你。
This place hasn't been the same without you!"
沒有你，這裡完全不一樣了。」

Elno smiled and began clearing up the mess.
艾諾笑了，又開始清掃垃圾
"Home sweet home,"thought Elon.
「家，就是家，還是家最溫馨。」艾諾想。
