I．視野拓展
美國的電視文化
美國電視劇，比較常見的有以下幾種：soap opera(肥皂劇), sitcom(情景喜劇), drama(電視劇)。 其中soap opera 有點像是連續劇（serial）, 通常各集之間的故事都有關聯，而且很會拖戲， 有時候幾個星期不看，劇情居然還能接得上！有點居然可以演20年。至於為何叫soap opera, 則是因為當初贊助此節目的是一家肥皂（soap）公司， 故名稱一直沿用至今。
sitcom則是所謂的情景喜劇(situation comedy)， 顧名思義， 每一集的情景喜劇通常會有一個獨立的情景（situation）, 而喜劇（comedy）就是要搞笑。另外有一類和sitcom類似， 也是每一集都有獨立的故事， 但內容並非以搞笑為主， 這類的節目叫drama.

學習過程：
Before listening
1. 檢查預習II的情況，並大聲朗讀II的短語。
2. Group work: 小組內交流課前準備III的內容。並兩人一組演練。
3. 觀察1a中的圖畫，弄清1a中詞語的意義，然後和圖片匹配。
4. 做1a，核對答案。然後大聲朗讀短語。
5. Pair work ---What do you think of talk shows / sitcoms / news...?

While listening
(1) 聽1b中的錄音， 寫出你所聽到的順序。
(2) 再聽一遍1b的錄音，檢測你的1b答案是否正確.
(3) 根據1c的內容，兩人一組練習對話。

觀察與思考：
1) 詢問別人觀點的句型：
What do you think of . . .? = How do you like......?
What does he/she think of . . .? = How does he/she like......?
2) 表達自己的觀點：
I love/like/ don’t mind/ don’t like/can’t stand......
I agree with you. / I don’t agree with you.
（4）讀2a中的短語。聽錄音，完成2a的聽力任務
（5）熟讀2b中的句子。再聽錄音，完成2b的聽力任務。
（6）模仿秀。跟讀， 然後大聲朗讀聽力材料，以練習發音和語音語調。
（7）仿說句子 Eg: sitcoms have fun game shows boring talk shows learn a lot
After listening
1. 調查。四人一組調查其他組員對2a中電視節目的看法和原因。
