2016 Secondary School Spelling Bee was successfully held in our school gym on May 27th.
 2016年銀河中學拼寫大賽於5月27日在銀河體育館成功舉辦。

Before the contest, the judges and pronouncers were busy planning the Spelling Bee. They had a planning meeting to discuss operational details of the event in order to ensure a seamless operation. 

比賽前期，裁判員和單詞播報員以及其他相關人員做了大量的準備，舉行了策劃會議，對比賽中可能出現的細節進行了討論，以確保屆時比賽順利進行。

Forty student participants, who qualified for the Finals, took their places on the contest stage. At the beginning, they are allowed to watch a PPT concerning rules and a funny video which amused everybody present. Then the Chief Judge Kevin declared the contest open!
 40位同學成功進入決賽。比賽開始大家一起觀看比賽細則，看到一段生動有趣的視頻時，全場哄堂大笑。總裁判長Kevin 宣布2016年銀河中學拼寫大賽開始！

The speller went to the microphone, and the pronouncers gave the speller a word. The spellers said the word, spelled it and then said the word again. If the word was spelled correctly, the speller continued in the Bee. If the word was misspelled, the speller will be eliminated from the Bee. The last speller remaining was declared the winner and the top three winners received the reward. 
參賽者起身走到講臺拿起麥克風，單詞播報員給出一個單詞的讀音。參賽者讀出單詞，拼寫完畢再讀出單詞，則進入到下一個單詞，依此類推。拼對繼續下一個單詞，拼錯則失敗。最終勝出的前三位得到獎盃。



 When the Spelling Bee ended, William in G12 won the first place, Jefferson in G11 won the second place, Leo in G7 won the third place. And all participants received a Certificate of Participation. Congratulation!在本次拼寫大賽中獲得第一名的是William G12，獲得第二名的是Jefferson G11，獲得第三名的是Leo G7。2016年銀河中學拼寫大賽圓滿結束！
