Think about it, when you play tennis and the ball is in your court, it's your turn to play and react.

So it means 「it is my turn？」

The ball is in your court! 從字面上來解釋是：球在你那邊的場地上了。但聽上去話好像沒有說完。所以實際上這個說法還有引申的含義：
如果你說the ball is in someone's court，意思就是這個人在某種情況下需要採取行動或者做出決定，也就是「某人做主」。
例如：
I have done my best to explain my position; now the ball is in your court.
我已經盡力解釋了我的立場，現在就看你的了。
這個短語最早出現在20世紀，源於網球運動，正如Mike所說，「The ball is in your court」 的「ball」是指網球，「court」是球場的意思，像籃球場就是「basketball court」，網球場就是「tennis court」 。
網球運動中，當一位球員把網球打到對手的那一方，那就輪到對手接招，把球打回來，所以「The ball is in somebody's court」 表示「輪到某人發動了」，「現在就看某人的啦」。
