不過，你可別把「One fine day」理解成「美好的一天」啊！
這一期咱們就來掰扯掰扯和day——日子有關的表達吧。
1）「One fine day」不是「美好的一天」
大家都知道fine一般表示很好，經典的句子就是「I’m fine，and you？」——我很好，你呢？
那為啥「one fine day」不是「美好的一天」呢？
首先我們看一下one fine day的英文解釋：Suddenly on some unspecified or unremarkable day，也就是突然間在某個不確定的或不顯眼的一天。
因此，one fine day常常指總有一天（會怎樣怎樣），類似someday的意思。
如果要說「美好的一天」，英語中常常用a nice day；a lovely day或a wonderful day等詞語來描述喲。
看個英語小例句：
① My father decided one fine day that he wanted to buy a camper van and travel around the country.
我父親決定，總有一天他會想要買一輛野營車然後全國到處旅遊。
2）「The other day」不是「另一天」
第二個關於day的表達，是the other day。
Other常常表示其他的或者另一個，但是「the other day」卻不是「另一天」，看看英語解釋：One day recently or a few days ago，也就是最近的一天，或者幾天前。
因此，the other day常常表示幾天之前（搭配過去時態使用）。
比如下面的英語例句：
① I saw Adam the other day while I was shopping.
我前兩天在逛街的時候看到亞當了。
② I forgot to tell you that I got a postcard from Mary the other day.
我忘記告訴你了，我前兩天收到了瑪麗的明信片。
3）「Rainy day」不一定是「下雨天」
最後講一講rainy day，大家都知道rainy表示下雨的，所以rainy day是下雨天肯定沒問題。
不過，在口語中，當有人說到「rainy day」的時候，可不一定是「下雨天」。
看看英語解釋：A time or period of unforeseen difficulty or trouble，也就是指你可能會遇到困難或麻煩的一段時期。
所以，rainy day可以指困難時期，常常搭配do something for a rainy day，也就是我們說的「未雨綢繆，以備不時之需」的意思。
看個英語例句：
① I know you want to buy a new phone with your bonus，but you should really save that money for a rainy day.
我知道你想用你的獎金買一個新手機，但是你真的應該存下那筆錢以備不時之需。
