今天學習的是明師學院王路老師的講座《基於核心素養的英語課堂教學案例分析》。首先王路老師告訴我們什麼是英語學科核心素養。
英語學科核心素養是學生在接受相應學段英語課程教育的過程中,逐步形成和提升的適應終身發展和社會發展需要的正確的價值觀念、必備品格和關鍵能力,由語言能力、文化意識、思維品質和學習能力這四大要素構成。語言能力是基礎要素,文化意識是價值取向,思維品質是心智特徵,學習能力是發展條件。接下來王老師帶我們分析了2014年全國優質課大賽一等獎第一名課例,授課教師為安徽合肥市琥珀中學吳婷婷老師。以下內容整理來源於王老師的展示和講述。
1.學生能認知關於慶祝新年的詞彙和表達;
(主要生詞:celebrate, exciting, count down, resolution)
2.學生能傳藉助連接詞感知句子之間的邏輯關係;
(主要連接詞:however, so, while, just before, as soon as)
3.學生能用掃讀技能獲取文章主旨,藉助連接詞帶動閱讀技能,理解文章細節信息。
4.學生通過了解紐約人的新年慶祝方式,學習理解和尊重不同文化的差異,並通過仿寫自己的新年計劃,體會新年的內涵。

外研版初三,主題是New Year
Step1 Greetings and lead in
自我介紹(借班上課),播放美國新年場景組圖,配樂Auld Lang Syne(課文中提及的歌曲)
設計意圖:用直切主題的新年圖曲從視聽兩個方面調動學生的積極情緒和學習興趣。
T:Do you enjoy the song? Americans call it Auld Lang Syne. They sing the song at New Year. What’s the date of New Year?
Ss: January 1st.
T: New Year falls on January 1st as soon as it’s 12 o』clock.
Step 2 視頻:What New Yorkers do to welcome the new year
T: Look at this picture. It’s a famous place in New York. Do you know the name?
Ss: Times Square
(看視頻之前設置了兩個問題:What can you see? What are flying in the air?)
Step 3 詞彙教學
T: What can you hear and see? What are flying in the air?
They are saying out numbers like 「five, four, three, two, and one」. What’s that? Well, people are counting down the numbers. (學生很容易就知道count down是倒計時)
T: Can you see the big ball? Americans believe it brings good luck. And what are flying in the air?
Ss: Pieces of paper or colorful papers.
T: Where are they from? They are from the wishing wall(許願牆). People write down their New Year resolutions on the paper and they put the paper on the wall. (生詞resolution第一次出現)
Task 1 Look through and match (段落與主題大意的匹配)
T: How many paragraphs are there?
Ss: five.
T: Do you know how to match quickly? (閱讀策略的滲透) Look at Para 1. Can you find the key words?
(Para1. People all over the world celebrate the new year. However, not all countries celebrate in the same way… different)
教師先提供範例(搭建支架)學生再迅速匹配其他四段
設計意圖:通過了解抓住關鍵詞,實現段落與標題的正確匹配。向學生滲透文段大意多出現在首句或者是尾句的規律。
Tips: 1. 做題之前讓學生一起讀或者叫5個學生一人一句先讀下這5個主題,儘量給學生創設說英語的機會
2. check answers時要注意引導學生說完整的句子,老師可以給出範例:The topic for Para 1 is different ways of celebrating.
Task 2 Detailed-reading (Para 2)
T: How do Americans celebrate the New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day? This time let’s read with a time line.
T: What do people do on New Year’s Eve? There are 3 important time periods

這部分老師給搭了個支架,給出了say 「Happy New Year」 and wishes範例,給了學生清晰的指引。
設計意圖:以動態時間軸的形象方式帶動閱讀的活動,實現在讀中學,學中做。
Task 3 Detailed-reading (Para 3&4)
T: After listening to the New Year’s song, it’s New Year’s Day
What do people do on New Year’s Day? 同樣教師給出示範
(文章結構正好是Para.2介紹New Year’s Eve,Para3&4介紹New Year’s Day)
新年的活動中有一項 make New Year’s resolutions,吳老師在這裡進行了生詞的教學。先用文中句子「I will help…」幫助學生理解,給出兩個選項: New Year gift / New Year plan or wish,讓學生選擇resolution的意思
T: You can write down your New Year resolutions on the paper and then put the paper on the wishing wall. (在情境下學習詞彙,便於學生理解記憶)
Task 4 Detailed-reading (Para 5)
why do people all around the world celebrate the New Year? (本課主題升華)
Task 5 Pair work: New Year in New York
教師同樣搭建足夠的支架,給出的支架比剛才文本處理時給的支架要少
Pair work記者/市民,藉助時間軸導圖(task2出現的時間軸)還有關鍵詞(本課生詞)複述
設計意圖:運用細節閱讀獲取的信息,進行文章內容的複述,串起重要的內容,在鞏固複述內容的同時體現語言的綜合運用。
Task 6 Structure of the passage
Step1 段落結構
設計意圖:讓學生清楚地看到文章的結構,為日後教學中的仿寫鋪墊。
Step 2介紹連接詞的用法
T: In both China and America, people celebrate the New Year, but do they celebrate in the same way?
T: Is the meaning of sentence A the same as or different from sentence B?
過渡到第二段,but引出Link word. Link words help us know the relation between sentences. And some words are used to show the time order like while. 然後讓學生找表示時間順序的詞,學生很容易就能找出來
T: Are there any words making the summary in Para. 5?
Ss: So.
T: This word is usually used to give a result or make a summary. Remember to use them to help you read between the sentences.
Task 1 Make your New Year’s resolutions
Step1觀看視頻:People’s resolutions
Step2 教師給學生示範,搭建支架
T: Do you want to know my New Year’s resolution? My New Year’s is to travel to more places because travelling is my favorite.
Step3 學生活動
1. My New Year’s is to…
2. Although…, I will…
教師給學生發了很多彩紙,板書上也設置了一個wishing wall,學生一個一個去貼,然後再讀自己的New Year resolution
Task 2主題升華:與文章作者互動,延伸文本內涵
T: It doesn’t matter how you celebrate it. What really matters is to spend it with your friends and family. Say goodbye to your past and welcome the future.
1.Tell your friends and parents about the new year in American (意圖:鞏固本節課所學)
2. Read about more new year celebrations and try to write about your favorite one.
(意圖:藉助網絡資源,拓展學習,實現知識文化的進一步拓展遷移和運用。)
最後我想說,35分鐘的課堂設計了這麼多精細的活動,整堂課教學支架的搭建、閱讀技能的滲透,真是太厲害了!!!
