1) 去往一個陌生的城市，想要找到好吃的餐廳，可以向當地人打聽一下。
① Could you recommend a nice restaurant near here？ [您是否可介紹一家附近口碑不錯的餐廳？]
② Where is the main area for restaurants?[此地餐廳多集中在哪一區？]
③ Where can I enjoy the best local food?[我在哪兒能吃到最好的當地食物？]
2) 詢問餐廳。
Is there a Chinese restaurant around here？ [這附近是否有中國餐廳？]
如果想找特定種類的餐廳，還可以問：Where is the nearest Italian restaurant?[最近的義大利餐廳在那裡？]
其他常見的食物及餐廳類型有：

4) 如果時間太晚找不到餐廳可以這麼問。
Do you know of any restaurants open now？ [你知道現在哪裡還有餐廳是營業的嗎？]
如果想問某個特定的餐廳，可以說：How can I get to the Franklin Barbecue?[我要如何才能到達Franklin Barbecue餐廳？]
5) 預訂餐桌。
I'd like to make a reservation for three people at 7 p.m., please．[我想訂晚上7點三個人的餐位，謝謝。]
還可以這樣說：Do you have a table available between 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.?[請問晚上6點至8點間有位置嗎？]
6) 如果提前有預約，在抵達餐廳時，可以說出姓名。
I have a reservation at six. My name is Nancy.[我預訂了6點的位置。我叫南希。]
如果比預約時間晚到，可以提前給餐廳打電話：I'm sorry. I'll be late.[抱歉，我會晚點到。]We'll come around eight o'clock.[我們大約在8點到達。]
7) 如果要取消預訂，可以這麼說。
Excuse me, I'd like to cancel my reservation for tomorrow．[抱歉，我想取消明天的訂位。]
8) 看菜單。
May I have a menu, please？ [請給我菜單。]
A: Can I take a look at the menu, please？ [我可以看一下菜單嗎？]

9) 如果看不懂菜單，可以試著問問是否有中文菜單。

西餐廳的菜單上一般包括starters[開胃菜]、soup[湯]、fish or meat[魚或肉]、vegetable orcheese[蔬菜或奶酪]、dessert[甜點]等等。
10) 點餐
May I order, please？[我可以點餐了嗎？]
有時候，服務員會主動過來問：Are you ready to order now?[您準備好點餐了嗎？]
或Would you like to order now?[您現在可以點餐了嗎？]
11) 如果拿不準要吃什麼，可以問問餐廳有什麼特色菜。
What is the specialty of the house？ [餐廳的招牌菜是什麼？]
Do you have today's special?[餐廳有今日特別推薦嗎？]
或者What do you recommend?[你有什麼推薦的嗎？]
或者What do you recommend for an appetizer?[你有什麼推薦的前菜嗎？]
12) 點快餐吃。
I'd like a hamburger, an order of French fries and a Coke。[我要一個漢堡、一份薯條和一杯可樂。]
常見的快餐有bacon hamburger[培根漢堡]、chicken hamburger[雞肉漢堡]、French fries[薯條]等。
13) 點了牛排要幾分熟呢？
How do you like your steak？ [你的牛排要幾分熟？]
在餐廳點牛排時，服務員通常會問：How do/would you like your steak？ 可以參考下面的回答。一定要記住，牛排只有一分熟、三分熟、五分熟、七分熟和全熟，可千萬不要講出其他數字哦！
14) 在餐廳催上菜時這麼說。
My order hasn't come yet．[我點的食物還沒來。]
如果菜上錯了，可以說：This is not what I ordered.[這不是我點的食物。]
15) Could you bring us another fork？ [請幫我們再拿一把叉子好嗎？]

17) 用餐過程中，如果想喝水可以這麼說。

18) 點飲品或酒。

如果要點酒，可以說：May I see the wine list?[可否讓我看看酒單？]
19) 結帳用語。
May I have the bill, please？ [麻煩你給我帳單，謝謝。]
也可以直接說Check, please.[麻煩請結帳。]
如果帳單有錯誤，可以說：I think there is a mistake in the bill. Could you check it again?[我覺得帳單有錯，可以再確認一遍嗎？]
20) 用信用卡付錢。
Can I pay with this credit card？ [可以用這張信用卡付帳嗎？]
如果需要收據，可以說May I have the receipt, please?[可以給我收據嗎？]
