I expect your experience during these few years overseas has been a great help to your development as a person.
這次來信所說的痛苦,我都理會得;我很同情,我願意儘量安慰你、鼓勵你。
I understand and ⑤sympathize with your pains that are mentioned in your letter. You can count on my ⑥consolation and encouragement to the greatest degree possible.

慢慢的你會養成另外一種心情對付過去的事:就是能夠想到而不再驚心動魄,能夠從客觀的立場分析前因後果,做將來的借鑑,以免重蹈覆轍。
Slowly you will develop a different state of mind to ⑨handle matters similar to those situations in the past. That is, you will be able to ⑩anticipate things in happening and will not be taken by surprise again. You will be able to analyse causes and consequences of events ⑪objectively. Then you can use them for future references to prevent making similar mistakes again.
