豆瓣4.9！眾所期待的劉亦菲版《花木蘭》為啥口碑撲街了？

終於，真人版《花木蘭》上映了。

這部坐擁「中國元素」以及「女性主義」光環的迪士尼真人電影，上映過程真可謂是一波三折。受疫情影響，電影被多次撤檔，最終迪士尼宣布《花木蘭》9月4日在流媒體Disney+上映，並於9月11日正式登陸了中國院線。

然而，令不少人感到意外的是，這樣一部備受期待的大片，上映後豆瓣上的口碑只有4.9分↓↓↓

A certain group of Chinese netizens have jeeringly pointed out that the makeup of the female characters in Mulan looks closer to that of court ladies in the West during the 17th century, rather than the style popular during China’s Northern and Southern Dynasties (386–589).

「The female characters』 makeup in Mulan reminds me the royal family living in Versailles, France during the 17th century. And the armor that actor Donnie Yen wears makes me think of the style of the Warring States period in Japanese history,」 one Chinese netziens posted on Sina Weibo.

有網友看完對聯後十分迷茫，表示這邏輯是和隔壁正在熱映的《信條》串戲了？

北京電影學院教授、影評人石文學認為，這版《花木蘭》僅僅是西方人眼中的東方元素與象徵的大雜燴，迪士尼方面並未對非西方的元素及故事做好充分的研究，這種西方傳統童話故事中的常規設定與中國歷史故事並不兼容。

The movie is just a mixture of oriental elements and symbols in the eyes of Westerners. &34; Shi Wenxue, a film critic and professor at the Beijing Academy, said.

據《環球時報》報導，一些中國網友也並不認同片中傳達的價值觀，原著故事中的愛國情懷在這裡被改成了盲目忠君。

Chinese netizens also disagreed on the values expressed in the movie, saying that the traditional Chinese story had a patriotic theme, which was changed to a story of soldiers blindly protecting a king.

然而，為了要拍好這版《花木蘭》，迪士尼可以說是下了一番功夫。

打造現代意義的《花木蘭》

花木蘭女扮男裝、替父從軍的故事相信大家都並不陌生，而這版電影也正是從那首著名的《木蘭辭》出發，希望從更現實的角度呈現中國歷史與文化。

畢竟，先前的動畫版《花木蘭》是部音樂喜劇，包含了不少搞笑元素，比如說，那只會說話的木須龍。

The film is based on the Chinese folk song Ballad of Mulan. Set during the Northern Wei Dynasty (386-534), it tells the tale of a young woman who disguised herself as a man to take her aging father&39;s second-biggest movie market. The film places much greater emphasis on traditional Chinese values, such as duty to family, some critics said.

美國南加州大學政治學教授、中國電影專家斯坦利·羅森認為，這部電影很顯然就是為中國觀眾定製的，還請來了鞏俐、甄子丹、李連杰等中國大牌明星參演。

此外，電影中還有女性賦權、出色的拍攝、精彩的動作打戲等諸多亮點，同樣也能吸引外國觀眾。

Stanley Rosen, a political science professor at the University of Southern California and an expert on Chinese films, said the film &34; But it was also made for an international audience, with a theme of female empowerment, great cinematography and action scenes, he added.

外國掀起「花木蘭風潮」

而與國內觀眾相比，外國觀眾對《花木蘭》的接受度似乎更高，目前該片在Rotten Tomatoes上的爛番茄新鮮度為75%。

While some Chinese have issues with the makeup in the film, it has become something of a popular trend outside of China. Several makeup bloggers have been posting video or photo tutorials to teach people how to do their makeup in a similar fashion, while others have even attempted to recreate Mulan’s entire costume.

Mulan’s narrative arc is less interested in her coming to terms with herself—and seemingly more driven by the honor that comes from protecting the emperor without question.

At the end of the day, it’s very difficult to please the different tastes and expectations of both Western and Eastern audiences for the sake of the box office.The result is very much something too safe, boring, lacklustre and certainly not worth the extra fee the studio are asking Disney+ subscribers to fork out – unless they’re absolute diehard fans, of course.

到頭來，想要為了票房同時取悅東西方觀眾不同的口味與預期是很難的。結果便是太安全、無聊、毫無生氣，並不值得Disney +的訂閱者再支付一筆錢去觀看，當然，這些人是鐵粉除外。
