「Because of You」是首屆「美國偶像」冠軍獲得者Kelly Clarkson的一首流行搖滾，收錄在她2004年第二張專輯「Breakaway」裡。
這首歌寫的是一個有家庭暴力、父母離婚的女孩結婚/談戀愛後的生活。也許這首歌更著重於家庭對於孩子童年的影響。曲子裡滲透著揮之不去的無奈和傷感。MV中女孩與老公爭吵，然後她開始回憶起小時候父母爭吵、離婚的場景，看見小時候的自己。最後，女孩還是回到了自己的家庭，用溫和的方式解決問題，而不是重蹈當年她母親的覆轍。
Kelly感人肺腑的濃鬱唱腔使這首隔牽動著聽者的心靈。即使不知道歌詞的人，也可能因為這首歌悽婉的曲調而扼腕感傷。Kelly如泣如訴而又富有彈性的聲音，讓人從中聽到一種震懾人心的控訴，聽到一個女子掩藏在堅強外表下的憂愁和委屈。

Kelly在MTV臺的訪談中是這樣解釋這首歌的內容的：
It's about the cycle of families, like you act how your parents acted towards you and then your kids act how you acted towards them, and it's all about breaking that cycle if it was a bad one [...] It's one of those songs that everybody's kind of gonna relate to, but you're not happy about that. It's very close to home [for me]. I OK'd it with my family and everything because they think it's important, because we're obviously very different now than we were when we were younger. And it's important for people to see that raw kind of emotion that happens in life. It sucks sometimes, so it's important to see that I think.
