【科普】恐龍主題:All about Dinosaurs

 

喜歡看Peppa Pig 的小朋友都知道，Geroge 是個恐龍迷，身邊很多孩子也是恐龍迷，恐龍玩具、恐龍書，開生日派對也是恐龍主題。雖然沒有人見過活著的恐龍，但恐龍化石的發現和科學研究讓很多人著迷，也許正是因為沒有見過，讓人有無限充滿創意的的想像。

2. Learn about Dinosaurs 

翻開一本恐龍科普書，相當於翻開了一部生命的進化史，生活在約2.3億年前的恐龍，統治了地球1.6億年。關於恐龍的探索一直在進行，已知的、未知的知識多如牛毛，孩子們最感興趣的是這些：

Dinosaurs were prehistoric reptiles that lived millions of years ago. You might have heard of the meat-eating Tyrannosaurus rex or the long-necked Diplodocus. Dinosaurs have many things in common ,including haveing legs positioed directly under their bodies, and laying and hatching from eggs. 
恐龍是生活在史前數億年前的爬行類動物。你也許聽過食肉的雷克斯暴龍和有著長長脖子的梁龍，這些恐龍一般都有一些共同的特徵，比如矯健的四肢、會下蛋，還會孵寶寶。

Parts of a dinosaur

2、Facts about fossils （化石）
Fossils are ususlly found in rock but may also be dound in mud or grave（砂礫）. The parts of an animal most likely to fossilize are the hard parts : the bones or teeth or a creature's shell. Teeth are among the most commonly found fossils. The oldest fossils are stromatolites(mounds of rock made by sea-dwelling bacteria). These have been dated to 3.5 billion years ago. 3、Where did the dinosaurs live ?Dinosaurs live all over the world .They evolved to call a wide variety of environments home, including plains, rainforests, swamps, coastlines, and desserts.

Many dinosaurs were herbivores, which means that they ate plants. However, others were carnivores who ate meat-even the meat of dead dinosaurs! There were also omnivores, who ate both eat and plants.

5、What did dinosaurs do all day ?The daily goal for dinosaurs was survival. They needed to make sure that they lived long enough to see the next day. To do this, dinosaurs spent their time finding food , escaping predators, protecting their homes, and taking care of  their young. 原來恐龍的生存環境並不那麼舒適，每天尋找食物，保護家園，逃避捕食者，還要照顧恐龍寶寶。想像一下你生活在恐龍時代，或者恐龍來到我們的城市，會是一種什麼場景呢 ？人類可以和恐龍共存嗎？
