聽得到主聲音的耳朵

上帝
是公義的主。
他
治理萬有的根基是公義（詩89：14），
而公義的出處就是上帝的愛（約一4：8）。
對我們來說，上帝的公義是生命（哈2：4），
人要想得生就要遵守公義，
可是早已墮落的人類反而被公義定罪，
以致失去生命（羅6：23）。
這就是人在律法之下經歷的（林前15：56）。
我們的信要火熱，
這樣才能認識並得到上帝的愛。
不冷不熱是不信仰，
這樣的人不認識上帝的愛，
不認識上帝愛的人會被棄絕（啟3：16）。
要聽主的聲音（啟3：20）。
聽到聖靈說的話才能擁有信，
聖靈說的話就是真理（啟3：22）。
真理是耶穌基督，是恩典的道。
不要被謊言欺騙，要聽真的，
只有真理才是真的。

上帝以耶穌為公義
上帝是公義的主。公義是什麼？要想知道此問題的答案，首先就要知道「罪是什麼」。因為挑戰公義就是罪。
一聽到「罪」，人們一般就會聯想到自犯罪，即讓人的良心受到譴責的某種行為。人之所以會犯自犯罪，是因為人心裡有想犯罪的品性，這就是本罪。人被定罪都是因著自犯罪或本罪，而這兩種罪的根本是原罪。所謂原罪，就是指第一個有靈的活人亞當所犯的罪。
亞當的問題不是違背了熟為人知的倫理道德，他只是吃了上帝禁止吃的「分別善惡樹上的果子」。但因著此舉，不僅他自己，連在他裡面的全人類也都成了罪人。上帝對亞當說「分別善惡樹上的果子，你不可吃，因為你吃的日子必定死」（創2:17）的時候，其實那句話裡面已經包含了上帝對亞當的警告：「你若知道善惡，就已經成了要受審判的人，那麼必免不了擔當死亡的罪價。」
讓我們感謝的是，上帝將耶穌差到了世上，通過耶穌支付了在亞當裡面成為罪人的全人類的罪價。所以信耶穌的人得救了，而仍舊不信耶穌的人已經受了審判。對此，約翰福音3章18節說：「信他的人不被定罪，不信的人，罪已經定了，因為他不信上帝獨生子的名。」
上帝以耶穌的名為公義，所以哪怕再兇惡的殺人犯，若是信耶穌的名，就能得救；反之，即使道德品質再出色的人，若不信耶穌的名，就免不了受審判。可能有人會感到不滿，認為：「我一輩子循規蹈矩地生活，從沒有犯過罪，只因不信耶穌就要下地獄，而那個人一生犯了那麼多的罪，難道只因著信耶穌就能去天國嗎？」是的，因為誰也無法超越上帝所定的公義。
「耶穌的名是公義」，換句話也可以說「以這名來到世上的基督的功勞是公義」。耶穌基督為什麼在十字架上受死？他代贖了我們的罪，我們因著他罪得赦免了。有人可能看不慣犯罪的人得饒恕，但沒有得饒恕的人是無法來到上帝面前的。
我們裡面要有上帝的公義。有的人一生過著不讓自己的良心受譴責的生活，他更多依靠的是自己的良心，而不是上帝的公義。這樣的人必免不了受審判。耶穌親口說過：「認識你獨一的真上帝，並且認識你所差來的耶穌基督，這就是永生。」（約17:3）想要得永生的人一定要信耶穌。
耶穌親口說的「信耶穌的人」的三種體驗
那麼，到底什麼叫信耶穌？對此的說明可能因人而異，但我們一定要接受的是耶穌的見證。聖經裡面有耶穌親口說的關於「信我的人要如何」的內容。
首先，信耶穌的人要奉耶穌基督的名受浸禮（可16:16）。施洗約翰只是用水給人施洗，叫人通過受洗承認自己是罪人。但奉耶穌基督的名受的洗不僅是用水，也是靠聖靈受的，人們通過這樣的浸禮與耶穌基督合而為一。
第二，信耶穌的人會領受聖靈，顯出豐盛的恩賜。對此，耶穌說：「信我的人，從他腹中要流出活水的江河來。」（約7:38）
第三，信耶穌的人要有耶穌的名所跟隨的神跡。對此，耶穌說：「信的人必有神跡隨著他們，就是：奉我的名趕鬼，說新方言，手能拿蛇；若喝了什麼毒物，也必不受害；手按病人，病人就必好了。」（可16:17~18）
耶穌不僅說「信我的人必然得救」，還說「信我的人必有這些體驗跟隨」，人如果沒有這三種體驗，又怎麼能確信自己得救了呢？
這三種體驗概括了庇哩亞運動的價值。「庇哩亞」這個詞是從使徒行傳17章11節的經文中取出來的，這節經文的內容是：「這地方的人（庇哩亞人）賢於帖撒羅尼迦的人，甘心領受這道，天天考查聖經，要曉得這道是與不是。」但我們不能認為庇哩亞運動僅僅是考查聖經的運動。無論哪個教派或哪間教會，都努力考查聖經，但問題在於他們藐視耶穌所說的這三種體驗。
我是在監理教會開始信仰生活的，後來在長老教讀了神學，但因為我認識到浸禮的屬靈價值，所以開拓教會的時候選擇了浸禮教團。但後來我發現浸禮教團存在一個重大的局限，那就是浸禮教團否認信耶穌的人應該領受的聖靈和聖靈的恩賜。強調聖靈作工的五旬節運動雖然始於美國的一間浸禮教會主日學，但浸禮教團卻徹底排斥五旬節運動。
今天五旬節教團已經發展成具有世界性規模的教團，但遺憾的是它也沒能擺脫一定的局限，也就是無法實現耶穌強調的三種體驗中的第三種體驗「能力的普遍性」。五旬節運動強調，信耶穌的人都要領受聖靈，也要積極使用聖靈的代表性恩賜——方言，但卻沒能實現耶穌所說的「信我的人要有神跡跟隨」這話語。
信仰生活不是按照我們自己的意思過的，上帝把耶穌的名和耶穌基督的功勞定為公義。耶穌親口說「信我的人是指這樣的人」，因此我們要成為真正的「信耶穌的人」。
通過老底嘉教會聽聖靈向眾教會所說的話
啟示錄裡面提到亞細亞的七間教會，分別是以弗所教會、士每拿教會、別迦摩教會、推雅推喇教會、撒狄教會、非拉鐵非教會和老底嘉教會。耶穌靠著聖靈向這七間教會所說的話對我們來說也是極其重要的。
老底嘉教會在物質方面非常富足，因此那個地方的信徒缺乏對恩典的渴慕與迫切之心。今天也是一樣的，在醫術等各種文化領域比較落後的地區，人們極其渴慕耶穌的名所跟隨的神跡，相比之下，在經濟發達的地區，人們就沒有那麼渴慕。富足的生活使老底嘉教會的信徒不冷也不熱（啟3:16）。
啟示錄3章14節說：「你要寫信給老底嘉教會的使者說，那為阿們的，為誠信真實見證的，在上帝創造萬物之上為元首的……」上帝創造萬物之上為元首的那位是誰？上帝立兒子為後嗣，為兒子創造了萬有（來1:2）。「創造萬物之上的那位」是指上帝的兒子耶穌說的。向老底嘉教會說話的是耶穌，而22節那裡又說耶穌所說的話是「聖靈向眾教會所說的話」。
將耶穌受死復活的消息告訴我們的是誰？父上帝不是我們能看見、聽見的，而人子又進入了天上，我們現在聽不到他的聲音，我們只有靠著聖靈才能聽到耶穌的話語。
信仰生活就是聽聖靈的話，接受聖靈帶領的生活。接受聖靈的帶領並不等於可以超越教會。但凡是信耶穌的人，對於「是誰帶領你開始信仰生活的？」這個問題都要能夠作出明確的回答。如果沒有帶領自己的人，那麼這個人的信仰很有可能傾向於受感情帶領的神秘主義。就像拿單業聽腓力說「你來看」，就來到耶穌面前一樣，信仰都有引路人。牧者的講道也是聖靈帶領聖徒的一種方法，所以我們要能夠通過講道聽到聖靈所說的話。
老底嘉教會的人認為他們很富足，沒有缺乏，所以不想接受他人的幹涉。但主卻說他們是困苦、可憐、貧窮、瞎眼、赤身的（啟3:17）。耶穌對他們說：「我勸你向我買火煉的金子，叫你富足；又買白衣穿上，叫你赤身的羞恥不露出來；又買眼藥擦你的眼睛，使你能看見。」（啟3:18）耶穌所說的這些是極其寶貴，根本無法用金錢來衡量的，而得到這些的方法只有靠恩典。
孩子去商店可以不花錢就把東西拿到手，是因為媽媽已經付錢了。同理，我們能靠著恩典擁有上帝賜予的這些，是因為耶穌已經支付了代價。
上帝對亞當說，如果吃善惡樹上的果子就必定死，如這話語所說，人一旦對良心或律法開竅，就會因此被定罪，那麼最終必免不了刑罰。「要悔改」這話的意思不是說要認識罪，而是說要領受恩典。在我們心裡，主的恩典要遠遠大過分別善惡的良心才行。
「火煉的金子」是指耶穌的名說的。這個名雖然受盡百般逼迫與咒詛，但最終還是得勝了。肉體被鞭打已經是讓人非常痛苦的事了，名字受辱更讓人痛苦。但耶穌這個名自從顯明在世上以後，不斷受到辱罵。耶穌在世上的期間，人們絞盡腦汁想要殺他，最終把他釘在十字架上，這是為了把他的名從人們的記憶中塗抹掉。但我們靠著聖靈得到了這個名，因此成了真正富足的人。上帝的兒子繼承為產業的那個名也成了我們的產業（來1:4）。
老底嘉教會雖然身著華麗的衣裳，但那些衣服無法遮擋他們靈魂的羞恥（啟3:18）因此，耶穌讓他們買白衣穿上。啟示錄19章8節說：「蒙恩得穿光明潔白的細麻衣，這細麻衣就是聖徒所行的義。」買白衣穿上，意思就是盡聖徒的義務。
耶穌說：「看哪，我站在門外叩門，若有人聽見我聲音就開門的，我要進到他那裡去，我與他，他與我，一同坐席。」（啟3:20）聽不到主聲音的人無法為主開門，主也就不可能進到他裡面。所以，想要與主同在的人首先要能聽見主的聲音。在教會聽道的時候，不要把它當作人的聲音聽，而要當作主的聲音聽。
申命記30章19節說：「我今日呼天喚地向你作見證，我將生死、禍福陳明在你面前，所以你要揀選生命，使你和你的後裔都得存活。」律法把人帶到咒詛與死亡裡，恩典與真理則把人引向福分與生命裡。聖靈的角色就是傳恩典與真理，所以我們為了存活要聽聖靈的話。最重要的是，不要把在教會裡聽到的話當作人說的話，而要當作聖靈的話。我們要將「聖靈向眾教會所說的話，凡有耳的，就應當聽」（啟3：22）這句話語銘記在心。除了自己，還要讓子孫們都聽聖靈所說的話。

God Appoints Jesusas the Righteous Judge
God is righteous. What is righteousness? The answer lies in theanswer to the question of sin, for it is sin to oppose righteousness.
People usually think of sin as a specific act that makes them feelguilty. The reason people commit sin is because it is in theirnature. This is called intrinsic sin. Condemnation comesboth from intrinsic sin and specific sinful acts, but the root of all these isthe original sin. The original sin is the sin of Adam, the firstspiritual being.
Adam’ssin was not a violation of any generally understood ethics ormorals. All he did was eat from the tree of the knowledge of goodand evil, which God had commanded him not to do. But when hedisobeyed, he became a sinner, and so did all of mankind withhim. God commanded Adam saying, 「Of the tree of the knowledge ofgood and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you willsurely die」(Genesis 2:17). There was an inherent warning in thecommandment because with the knowledge of good and evil comes the knowledge ofsin, and there would be no way to avoid judgment and the penalty of sin whichis death(Romans 6:23).
Thankfully,God sent Jesus to pay the penalty for Adam’s sin and for the sins of allmankind who had become sinners because of Adam. Nevertheless, those who donot believe in Jesus have already been judged, but those who believe in Jesushave already been saved. John 3:18 says, 「Whoever believes in Me isnot condemned, but whoever does not believe is already condemned because he hasnot believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.」
God has established the name of Jesusas righteousness. Therefore, even the most ruthless murderer issaved if he believes in the name of Jesus; and even the most morally upright personcannot escape judgment if he does not believe in Jesus』name. 「That’s not fair,」 you say? 「Someone who hasn’t committed anysin will go hell because they don’t believe in Jesus but a man that hascommitted sin all his life will go to heaven because he believes inJesus?」 「It doesn’t sound fair.」 Nonetheless, no one canescape or surpass the righteousness of God.
Thevery name of Jesus is righteous, and so are the works that Jesus did on theearth by the name 『Jesus.』 Why did Jesus Christ die on thecross? To redeemed us. We have been forgiven because of what Hedid. Some people do not like the idea of sinners beingforgiven. But no one can come to God without beingforgiven.
The righteousness of God must abide in us. Those who have livedwith a clear conscience may have a tendency to trust their own consciencerather than in the righteousness of God, but they will not be able to avoid thejudgment. Jesus Himself said, 「Now this is eternal life: that theymay know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom You havesent.」 (John 17:3) He who wants to have eternal life must believe inJesus.
Jesus Spoke ofThree Signs of a Believer
So what does it mean to believe in Jesus? There are manyexplanations, but the only one that matters and the one we should absolutelyaccept is what Jesus himself said about it. These are the thingsJesus Himself said would characterize those who believe in Him.
First, they must be baptized in the name of Jesus(Mark16:16). The baptism of John was a baptism of repentance and it wasperformed with water. But the baptism in the name of Jesus is donewith water and with the Holy Spirit, and through it people can be united withJesus Christ.
Second, the Holy Spirit comes to the believer and spiritual gifts aremanifested in abundance. Jesus described it this way, 「Whosoeverbelieves in me, as the Scripture has said, out of him will flow rivers ofliving water.」 (John 7:38)
Third, there must be signs that accompany those who believe in Jesus』name. Jesus said, 「And these signs will accompany those who believe:In my name they will cast out demons; they will speak in new tongues; they willpick up serpents; and if they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them; theywill lay their hands on the sick, and they will recover(Mark 16:17-18).
The same Jesus who said that whosoever believes in Him will be saved alsosaid, 「these signs will accompany the believers.」 How can anyone whohas not experienced these three things be sure of salvation?
These three experiences are at the heart of the BereaMovement. The word 『Berea』 comes from Acts 17:3 which says, 「Now theBereans were of more noble character than the Thessalonians, for they receivedthe message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures daily to see ifwhat Paul said was true.」 However, the Berea Movement is much morethan merely examining the Bible every day. Any church or individualthat ignores these three experiences that Jesus spoke of, ignores the veryvalues at the heart of the Berea movement.
I began my life of faith in the Methodist Church and I studied theology atthe Presbyterian Theological Seminary. But when the time came toplant a church, I joined the Baptist denomination because I knew the spiritualvalue of baptism. It wasn’t until later that I discovered a criticallimitation of the Baptist denomination. It ignores the command toreceive the Holy Spirit and the spiritual gifts that He brings to those whobelieve. The Pentecostal movement, which emphasizes the workof the Holy Spirit, first began in a Sunday school of a Baptist Church in theUnited States. However, the Baptist denomination completely rejected thePentecostal movement.
Today,even though the Pentecostal movement has gone global, it is still limited inthat it does not recognize the universality of power to every believer which isone of the experiences Jesus clearly spoke about. The Pentecostalmovement stressed that every believer should receive the Holy Spirit and speakin tongues, but it falls short of Jesus』 assertion that, 「These signs willaccompany the believers.」
Hear What theSpirit says to the Laodicean Church
Seven churches are mentioned in Revelation: Ephesus, Smyrna, Pergamum,Thyatira, Sardis, Philadelphia and Laodicea. Jesus』 message by the HolySpirit to the seven churches is very important for us as well.
The Laodicean church was rich. Because of that, thechurch members lacked a hunger and thirst for God’s grace. Eventoday, people in less developed societies or in areas that are isolated frommany of the benefits of more developed societies, including medicine, earnestlyyearn for the signs that accompany those who believe in the name of Jesus. Thisis not true of the people living in economically affluent areas. Theprosperity of the Laodiceans made them lukewarm(Revelation 3:16).
Revelation 3:14 says, 「And unto the angelof the church of the Laodiceans write; These things said the Amen, the faithful and truewitness, the beginning of the creation of God.」 Who is 『thebeginning of the creation of God』? God appointed His Son asheir and through Him, created all things(Hebrews 1:2). 『The beginning ofthe creation』 is God’s Son, Jesus. It is Jesus who speaks to theLaodicean church. Therefore we can infer that 『What the Holy Spirit saysto the churches』 in Revelation 3:22 comes from Jesus Himself.
Who is it that bears witness that Jesus shed His blood on thecross? It is not God the Father, since no man can see or hearHim. Nor is it the Son of Man since He has ascended into heaven andwe can no longer hear His voice. It is only by the Holy Spirit thatwe can hear the words of Jesus.
The life of faith involves hearing the words of the Holy Spirit and beingled by the Spirit. This will not happen outside of thechurch. A believer should be able to answer the question, 「Who ledyou to faith in Jesus?」 Those who cannot answer that question aremore likely to have a spiritual life that is based onemotions. Nathanael came to Jesus after Philip told him to 『come andsee』 the Messiah. This is how people are led to faith inChrist. Additionally, the Holy Spirit guides believers through thepastor’s sermon. For this reason, we listen to the preaching of theWord of God by pastors so that we can hear the words of the Holy Spirit.
TheLaodicean church thought that they were rich and lacked nothing so they didn’twant to be bothered by anybody. But, Jesus saw them as they were:wretched, pitiful, poor, blind and naked. (Revelation 3:17) Jesussaid to them, 「I counsel you to buy from Me gold refined in the fire, that youmay be rich; and white clothes that you may be clothed, that the shame of yournakedness may not be revealed; and anoint your eyes with eye salve, that youmay see.」 (Revelation 3:18) The things that Jesus advised them buyare precious. The only way to get them is by grace.
Achild can walk out of a store with his treasure without paying for it onlybecause his mother has already paid the price for the item. In likemanner, we can possess the things that God gave us by His grace because He hasalready paid the price.
Just as God commanded Adam not to eat from the Tree of the Knowledge ofGood and Evil, 『for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die』, when aman becomes aware of sin he will be condemned by it for he cannot escape thejudgment and punishment of sin. Repentance is not just being aware of yoursins, it involves receiving God’s grace. The grace of the Lord mustbe greater in our soul than the knowledge of our sin and greater than ourconscience and the guilt that it brings.
The gold that has been refined in the fire is the name ofJesus. His name is victorious because it has defeated all manner ofpersecution and curses. It is very painful to be physically beaten,but it is more painful to have your name dishonored. The name ofJesus has been constantly maligned from the moment it was revealed to theworld. People conspired to kill Jesus while He was in the world, andthey eventually crucified Him in an attempt to erase even the memory of Hisname. Nevertheless, by the Holy Spirit we have the name of Jesus andhave become truly rich. The name which the Son of God has inheritedhas become our inheritance(Hebrews 1:4).
TheLaodiceans wore fine clothes, but the clothes couldn’t cover the shame of theirsouls(Revelation 3:18). That is why Jesus counseled them to buywhite clothes for them to wear. Revelation 19:8 says, 「And to her itwas granted to be clothed in fine linen, clean and bright, for the fine linenis the righteous acts of the saints.」 To buy white clothes meansfulfilling theduty of a saint.
Jesussaid, 「Behold, Istand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, Iwill come in to him and dine with him, and he with me(Revelation3:20). He who cannot hear the voice of the Lord cannot open the doorto Him, and it is impossible for the Lord to enter in. Therefore,whoever wants to be with the Lord must hear His voice first. Whenyou hear a sermon in the church, do not listen to it as the words of a man, butas the voice of the Lord.
Deuteronomy 30: 19 says, 「I call heaven and earth as witnesses against youtoday, that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses;therefore choose life, so that both you and your descendants maylive.」 The Law leads people to curses and death, but grace and truthlead them to blessing and life. The Holy Spirit speaks grace andtruth. Therefore, we must listen to what the Holy Spirit says tohave life. It is of utmost importance that we consider the words wehear in church to be the words of the Holy Spirit, not the words of aman. The Bible clearly says, 「Hear what the Spirit says tochurches」(Revelation 3:22). Not only should you listen to what theHoly Spirit says, but so should your descendants as well.

During the time that I have lived inthis world, I have had to endure many things. The things I have had to endureare largely things that have demanded my perseverance and struggle. Therefore,if I look back on all the things I endured my whole life, they have ended upbeing a struggle with myself. I have had to struggle with myself a hundredtimes every day.
The things I have had to endure inthis world are things that make men depressed, disappointed, enraged and angry.Like a wind that blows but is not seen with the eye, the anger that flares upwithin me is truly difficult to endure. At times, I feel like dirty curses willcome out of my mouth, and I try to restrain myself. I have had to fight thistiresome fight. This must be why the people of this world drink alcohol. Theymust be trying to conquer their stress by the intoxication of alcohol. If allthese emotions inside me were collected together, how evil and filthy would Iappear? However, the Holy Spirit abides within me and rules my temperament, mypersonality and my temper. Therefore, I can overcome the wicked challenges ofthe world.
The wicked jealousy of Cain was agreat worry to God. God said to Cain, 「Sin desires to have you, but you must rule over it.」 But Cain did not have the strength to overcome it. The Nephilimsdid not have spirits, and therefore were no more than beasts. But Cain was bornof a living being, and was, therefore, a spiritual being. And even though theHoly Spirit did not abide within him, he received the warning from God, and thecommandment of the word of God was given to him. But Cain rejected it.
The word of God is something that Iam supposed to obey, but the power of the Holy Spirit is the power that theHoly Spirit works personally. I obey the word of God and I can overcome mytemper. I have endeavored to overcome it by the power of the Holy Spirit. Thenew day has come, but what new problem will come to me today? Even trivialthings continue to bother me.
I am like a candle light placed inthe desert, with the wind blowing everywhere and in every direction. I do notknow when the wind will blow it out or make it stumble. Therefore, I only liveby the word of the Lord. Only by the power of the Holy Spirit can I overcome.The power of the Holy Spirit is not the power that oppresses another man, butit is the power that dominates me.
When we look at a comic book or afilm, we often see the protagonist using a particular skill to defeat theenemy. Angels arecurrently helping me and doing the work of controlling other people. But theHoly Spirit does not fight another person.
