看到「Ten-four」很多人的第一反應都是「10-4」，但是它想表達的意思真的不是「十槓四」。

Ten-four 是二十世紀初的通訊用語，表示「消息收到、知道、立即執行」等意思。
例：
Ten-four, old buddy. I will do that.

在英文裡four的用法非常有趣，今天來說一說和4有關的表達。
1.like cheese at four pence 處境尷尬；局促不安
指的是處於一種閒散的、尷尬的和/或不合時宜的狀態。也可以表示被忽視、遺棄或讓其笨拙地等待。
例：
Well, don't just sit there like cheese at four pence—speak up and say what's on your mind!

2.four-oh-four 也可以寫成404
