讀前預習

開始共讀繪本之前，家長可以在生活中通過實物或者圖片的方式引導小朋友熟悉以下單詞及詞組，做到至少聽到就知道這個詞的意思。

Step 2: 讀故事

To market, to market, to buy a fat pig. 去市場,去市場，去買一頭胖豬。

Home again, home again, jiggity jig! 回家啦，回家啦，蹦蹦跳跳！

(jig是一種吉格舞，在這裡是為了和pig押韻。這個單詞在很多繪本裡經常出現)

To market, tomarket, to buy a red hen.去市場，去市場，去買一隻紅母雞。

Home again…回家啦

Uh-oh! That pig left the pen. 哦唷，那隻豬跑出了豬圈。

（這一頁可以和孩子觀察一下右邊的圖片，和前面一頁有什麼不同。元元對這隻豬的表情看一次笑一次。後面的每個圖片都可以和孩子一起進行討論，看看每一種動物都在幹嘛呢）

This is the last straw! I'm a shopping disgrace. Everything's running all over the place! 我已經忍無可忍了！我真是好丟臉啊。所有動物跑得到處都是。

The pig's in the kitchen. The lamb's on the bed. The cow's on the couch. There's a duck on my head. 豬在廚房裡，羊羔在床上，奶牛在沙發上，還有一隻鴨子在我頭頂上。

The hen's in the cupboard. The goose is there, too. The goat's in the closet——it's chewing my shoe! 母雞在柜子裡，鵝也在那裡，山羊在衣櫃裡，正在咬我的鞋子。

（左圖可以跟孩子做個遊戲，家長說孩子來找, can you find the potatoes? Celery?...讓孩子在圖片中找出來。也可以家長用手指一個，讓孩子說出對應的英文）

所有動物和老奶奶吃飽都睡著了。

Step 3: 故事回顧

Ask: what did the old lady buy from the market?

Ask: what did they have for lunch?

Ask: which is your favorite part of the story?

 

Step 4: 重複故事

（這個步驟可以和前面的分開單獨進行）

這一次請完整的讀一遍故事，跟孩子約定好中間不打斷。閱讀過程中，品味句子的韻律，pig-jig, hen-pen, goose-loose, trout-out,lamb-swam, cow-now, duck-luck, goat-coat, disgrace-place, too-shoe, zoo-do,bunch-lunch。

經典詞句

1. plump 肥肥的鴨子可以用plump，形容一個人很豐滿也可以用plump。

2. out of luck 倒黴，不幸運。

3. stubborn 很固執, 也可以說as stubborn as a mule （像騾子一樣頑固）

4. This is the last straw!  我再也無法忍受了。
