一. How的含義，Fine的含義
①「How」是疑問詞，是「如何」的意思。當我們問候對方時，「How」通常是問候對方「身體狀況如何」的意思。
②「How」的用法也和之前所學的「What」「Why」「Who」等疑問詞相同，都必須放在句首形成疑問句。
③另外，當我們回答「很好」時，通常會用「fine」這個形容詞，代表「身體安好」的意思。
二. How的重點
①How放在句首，且放在am, are, is之前形成疑問語氣，句尾的語調要下降。
三. How的分析
①How（疑問詞）＝「如何」的意思。「How」的用法和前面所學的「What」「Why」「Who」相同，都必須放在am，are，is之前句首的位置形成疑問語氣。另外「How」是想要確認對方狀況，所以句尾語調要下降。
②fine（形容詞）＝「好的」意思。當我們回答「身體狀況很好」時，通常不會用「good」，而是用「fine」。所以「fine」和「good」的「好」，有意思上的不同。
③How＋形容詞＝形成不同意思的問法。「How」除了「如何」的意思之外，「How」也可與其他形容詞結合形成不同意思的問法。例如，How＋old＝如何老＝多老＝幾歲的意思，而How＋new＝如何新＝多新的意思！
四. 句子分析
①中文：你好嗎？
-> 中文：你是「身體如何」？
-> 英文：「身體如何」＋是＋你 ＝ How are you?（√）
（How的疑問句是用來「確定對方身體狀況」的問句，所以句尾語調要下降。）
②常見錯誤：How is you?（×）詢問對象是「你」，所以用are！
③你的祖母好嗎？
->中文：你的祖母好嗎？
->中文：你的祖母是「身體如何」？
->英文：「身體如何」＋是＋你的祖母 ＝ How is your grandmother?（√）（詢問對象是「你的祖母」，所以用is。）
④常見錯誤：How are your grandmother?（×）詢問對象是「你的祖母」，所以用is！
⑤我祖母很好。
->中文：我祖母很好。
->英文：我祖母＋是＋「身體安好的」 ＝ My grandmother is fine.（√）
⑥中文：你的父親多大年紀呢？
->中文：你父親是多老呢？
->英文：多老＋是＋你的父親 ＝ How old is your father?（√）（How old也是想要「確認對方年紀」，所以語調和how相同，要下降！）
⑦常見錯誤：Your father is how old?（×）How old的用法和how相同，必須放到am, are, is之前句首的位置，形成疑問語氣！
⑧這架鋼琴是多新呢？
->中文：這架鋼琴是多新呢？
->英文：多新＋是＋這個鋼琴 ＝ How new is this piano?（√）（How new也是想要「確認鋼琴的狀況」，所以語調和how相同，要下降！）
⑨常見錯誤：This piano is how new?（×）How new的用法和how相同，必須放到am, are, is之前句首的位置，形成疑問語氣！

2) 那個郵差很好。
--> That postman is fine.
3) 那個嬰兒（身體）好嗎？
--> How is that baby?
4) 那個嬰兒很好。
--> That baby is fine.
5) 你的朋友（身體）好嗎？
--> How is your friend?
6) 我的朋友很好。
--> My friend is fine.
7) 那個司機（身體）好嗎？
--> How is that driver?
8) 他很好。
--> He is fine.
9) 她的叔叔（身體）好嗎？
--> How is her uncle?
10) 他很好。
--> He is fine .
11) 瑪麗（身體）好嗎？
--> How is Mary?
12) 她很好。
--> She is fine.
13) 你是多高呢？
--> How tall are you?（詢問對象是「你」，所以要用are）
14) 我媽媽是多生氣呢？
--> How angry is my mother?
15) 他的祖母是多大年紀呢？
--> How old is his grandmother?
16) 你的學生是多誠實呢？
--> How honest is (are) your student (students)?
17) 那個郵差是多忙碌呢？
--> How busy is that postman?
18) 我們的老師是多傷心呢？
--> How sad is our teacher?
19) 那隻狗是多大呢？
--> How big is that dog?
20) 那架飛機是多漂亮呢？
--> How beautiful is that airplane?
21) 我兒子（son）是多笨呢？
--> How stupid is my son?
22) 你女兒（daughter）是多懶惰呢？
