現在這個時代，吸貓的人越來越多，隨便走過你身邊的任何一個人，可能看上去人模人樣，但是回到家卻是喵星人的鏟屎官。在英語裡面，也有很多藏著喵星人的習語，例如說fat cat（大亨，土豪），copycat（模仿者）。
罐頭菌今天來將一些「喵星人」習語~
1.Let the cat out of the bag 說漏口（無意）
讓貓不小心溜出包了，意思是不能說出來的秘密，事件「不小心說漏了口」，一般是形容無意中說出口。
I was trying to keep the party a secret, but Mel went and let the cat out of the bag.
我盡力守住要舉辦聚會這個秘密，可是梅爾一去就說漏了嘴。
2.Not enough room to swing a cat 空間不足夠
詞組來源據聞當時有一種鞭叫做「cat-o'-nine-tails（九尾鞭）」，這裡的cat就是指代這種鞭子，詞組本意是「沒有足夠的空間去揮動鞭子」，之後逐漸引申為「空間不足」的意思。
You should see my new office, it’s tiny. There’s not enough room to swing a cat!
你真應該看看我的新辦公室。太小了。連轉身的空間都沒有。
3.Like a cat on a hot tin roof 如熱鍋上的螞蟻
將「螞蟻」換成「貓」，再講「熱鍋」換成「熱房頂」，一模一樣意思表示「坐立不安，焦急」的詞組就出現了，相信非常容易理解。
She's waiting for the doctor to call with her test results, so she's been like a cat on a hottin roof all day.
她正在等待醫生回應她檢測結果，所以她整天像熱鍋上的螞蟻一樣焦慮。
4.There's more than one way to skin a cat 做事情不止一種方法
必將常見的英語諺語，就像「條條大路通羅馬」（All Roads Lead to Rome）一樣，表示解決事情，能用的方法不止一種，
There's more than one way to skin a cat. Our first approach didn't work, but we'll figure out some other way.
解決方法並不只有一種，雖然我們第一種方法沒有起效，但我們會找到別的方法的。
