British singer Sarah Brightman, who aspires to sing aboard the International Space Station, is making full preparations for her space journey.
The singer is at the Star City's training center in eastern Moscow. She is braving a series of difficulties in order to make her trip to the Space Station a reality.
Brightman announced her intention to fly to the International Space Station in October 2012, and has reportedly paid up to 50 million U.S. dollars for the plan.
She is expected to fly on Sept. 1 this year. If the 10-day journey comes to fruition, she will become the eighth space tourist and the first professional musician to sing in space.

莎拉•布萊曼 著名英國歌唱家，古典跨界女高音。1981年因飾演音樂劇《貓》進入公眾視野；1985年獲得格萊美最佳古典女藝人獎；1987年擔任著名音樂劇《歌劇魅影》女主角，紅遍全球。她是世界上唯一一位在兩屆奧運會開閉幕式上演唱過奧運會主題曲的女歌唱家（1992年巴塞隆納奧運會和2008年北京奧運會）。
International Space Station
n. 國際空間站 簡稱ISS，一個由六個國際主要太空機構聯合推進的國際合作計劃。這六個太空機構分別是美國國家航空航天局、俄羅斯聯邦航天局、歐洲航天局、日本宇宙航空研究開發機構、加拿大國家航天局和巴西航天局。參與該計劃的國家或地區組織共有16個，以美國、俄羅斯為首，中國不在其列。（中國計劃於2022年左右建成自己的空間站。）
Star City
n. 星城 俄羅斯莫斯科附近的一個城市，航空基地。（星城也是中國湖南省長沙市的別稱。）
brave
vt. 勇敢面對 很顯然，大家對brave的形容詞用法很熟悉，但其實它也常用來作及物動詞，後面跟difficulty、adversity之類的詞，因為困境才需要「勇敢面對」。
