Organic Letters是有機化學領域影響最大的通訊期刊之一,發表有關有機化學的尖端研究、創造性方法和創新思想,文章的創新性、科學性、實驗可靠性廣受好評,被稱為「短小精悍」。包括諾貝爾獎獲得者EJ Corey,Robert H. Grubbs和K. Barry Sharpless,以及有機化學領域的許多其他知名人士:Bertozzi、Fu、Buchwald、Baran、Fukuyama和Trauner均在Organic Letters上發表過重要的工作。
近期,OL公布了自1999年創刊以來,每一年的閱讀和下載量最多的20篇文章,其中Bill J.Baker及其同事在2016年發表關於的darwinolide的分離的文章,成為了迄今為止閱讀量和下載量最高的一篇文章。
OL 時間線
1998 ACS同意創辦organic letters。
1999 OL接收第一篇投稿「Total Synthesis of (±)-Preussomerins G and I」 。
2000 OL發表第 1,000篇文章,獲得第一個影響因子 3.367。
2005 OL不再發表全文(paper)。
2009 OL任命中國第一位副主編,楊丹教授。
2010 OL聘請了一位單晶顧問Jonathan White教授。
2013 首屆JOC-OL研討會在上海有機所成功召開。
2016 OL發布整個ACS體系中年度閱讀最高的文章「Darwinolide, a New Diterpene Scaffold that Inhibits Methicillin-Resistant Staphylococcus aureus Biofilm from the Antarctic Sponge Dendrilla membranosa」。
2018 OL舉辦創刊二十周年慶祝活動。
