應我的朋友Pi.David的要求，今天講講恐龍在英語裡的意思。
恐龍，dinosaur, one of a group of reptiles that lived millions of years ago. 幾百萬年前居住在地球上的爬行動物，非常原始。
如今說某人是恐龍，中文的意思是她很醜，很醜除了ugly之外，我們還可以說, She has got a face that only her mother could love.她長了張只有她媽媽才不嫌棄的臉；還有我們常說的It's not your fault to be so ugly, but it's your fault to come out and frighten others，長得醜不是你的錯，跑出來嚇人就是你的不對了；
但說某人是恐龍在英文裡指的是落伍的人，過時落後的東西，someone or something that is old-fashioned and no longer effective or suitable for modern times is always called dinosaur.
舉幾個例子，
1. The dinosaur became extinct before the appearance of man.
恐龍在人類出現以前就滅絕了。extinct消失，滅絕，apprearance,出 現；
2. Tyrannosaurus is a very large flesh-eating dinosaur。
霸王龍是一種非常大型的食肉恐龍。
Tyrannosaurus 霸王龍，暴龍；flesh-eating 食肉的；
3. She doesn’t know what wechat is , she is such a dinosaur!
她連微信都不知道，可真落伍啊！
總結一下，
Dinosaur is one of a group of reptiles that liv ed millions of years ago;
She has got a face that only her mother could love;
It’s not your fault to be so ugly, but it is your fault to come out and frighten others;
