Parts of Plant
Let’s talk about the next part of a plant, which is the stem. 莖
ok we already talked about the roots we can’t see, now we talk about the stem. You can see the stem right here.
What does stem do? A stem carries food and water through the plant. It holds up the plant.
so the roots not just take in 吸收the water, it also take in the food from the soil and stem carries that food to the leaves. so the stem is like a trunk of your body, it likes the main part of the plant. but it likes the structure of the whole plant. and it holds the plant above the soil, and we call that the stem.
ok, lets move on. Here we have a leaf, it is a top part of the plant, these big green things. Most plants have these, what are they? They are the leaves. Now be careful, leaf is singular, of course, plants have many leaves. We are talking about singular leaf or plural leaves. Ok so here we have a leaf and what does a leaf do?
A leaf takes in light and air, two things that a leaf does for these things that help the plant grow. Leaves help the plant grow. Leaves help the plant get food, so we can say the plants get food basiacally from two parts we have talked about already, the fist part we talked about were the roots, the roots take in water and some food from the soil. Also leaf takes in sun light and air and those are the things that help the plant grow to be a big plant.
